Seems like a good idea, especially in tanks where you feed a lot of frozen food that could be oily, it would get rid of that film on the surface Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
thefishdude Posted August 24, 2005 Report Share Posted August 24, 2005 I had considered buying one sometime back - however, I feed my fish a floating pellet so I was kinda worried that they would plug up/ get sucked in by the skimmer. Went out and bought a powerhead instead. I position it near the top of the water and when it looks like the scum is building up I throw on the air attachment. Seems to kill this layer in a hurry...
