cainechow Posted February 8, 2013 Report Share Posted February 8, 2013 I have that problem on my fresh water sump'd system. If there is room in your system, you can add a T with a ball valve as a recirculation line. That way you redirect part of the flow back into the sump without muting undo stress on your pump. jamesbarr Posted February 8, 2013 Report Share Posted February 8, 2013 +1 caine. only problem is that he is running a nano, so he likely has no sump. as mullin said, if he created a multi outlet return line it would help. One idea that I batted around when I was thinking about putting an over sized filter on a tank I had was making a spray bar that was in two pieces so that you could direct part of the return water down and part up just by swivelling the two parts how you wanted. Thanks! i would consider making the wholes in more of a diffuser styles to minimize concentrated flow areas. In a small tank like you are running you wont need a lot of pressure. I am still thinking about buying a piece of pvc pipe and make a spray bar with more holes to even reduce the pressure. I will post pics when I am done. Thanks again.
