VT231
I have a 90 gallon Planted with a 48" Marineland Double Bright LED fixtures. Is this enough for my tank 48" x 18" X 24" Deep? I read in the web mix opinions on this. If not any LED suggestion will be appreciated. Thanks
ckmullin
Things will grow but I'd say not the best for higher light plants. I still like T5HO better than led for plants. Look and see if you like anything: http://www.aquatraders.com/LED-Aquarium-Lighting-s/22.htm I have one of the T5HO fixtures and happy with it. jvision
I have the Finnex Ray2 on my 75gal and everything seems to like it. However, my tank has 3" of sand, plus the tank is already a few inches shorter than your 90. I really like the Finnex and think it'll work for you, YMMV. I've never tried Marineland. If it doesn't seem to cut it, maybe supliment with a couple T5HOs like Sunblaster - I beleive you can get a 48" fixture with reflector for around $40. VT231
Thanks for your input. Will the T5HO increase my tank temperature? Right now my tank temperature never go down to my heater setting 22C even if our house temp is around 68F. I havent tried to use a different temp gauge yet so i dont know if my gauge is not calibrated properly.
