ckmullin
Looks good. With a tall tank imo height for landscape is needed. A tall piece of knarly wood is the way to go. Why so long for a drystart?

Razzo
Looks good. With a tall tank imo height for landscape is needed. A tall piece of knarly wood is the way to go. Why so long for a drystart? Yea the tall tank was an issue because I was wanting a Iwagumi layout, I had to get the cube do to space and the volume of water I wanted. I did have this wood in the layout at one point I'm still thinking about adding it back but the torri gate wont stay. I could have filled well before I wasn't in a rush to get it all going due to work.
ckmullin
One little tip if a particular piece of wood won't stay down and it's close to rock just drill a hole in the rock and use a zip tie with the wood.
Kalost
Is this going to be strictly planted or are any fish going to be added. Very nice looking either way.

ckmullin
Great looking tank, I really like the plants what are they? It is HC. http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/myPlants.php?do=view&p=85&n=HC_Hemianthus_callitrichoides_Hemianthus_callitrichoides Your much closer to Edmonton than Calgary however if you wanted a starter of HC and will be in Calgary let me know. aquariumdave
Appreciate the gesture Caeruleus, I have a question for you... Would my peacocks tear this apart? I've got a strip light out in my garage for live plants that would fit my 55Gallon. I'm just running regular light right now. Some info on my tank: I'm using the wrong substrate for my cichlids, it's the cheap, coarse gravel. I've tried plants on another tank I looked after and unfortunately they never rooted and ended up floating to the top and died. Could it have been the substrate, the fact I added them early in the setup? Water was cycled and there was fish living in there just not for very long. Thanks for your help. shoyen
Very nice setup. This is very similar to the tank that I would like to setup in early 2014. What brand is the 60 gallon cube?
thebrokenbrewer
Looks like it has the makings for the perfect afterwork tank to just take five and unwind. Any recent photos?
