Piranha Man
Small children. Actually he eats large Smelts. 6-8" twice a week. 1-2 bites. He's from Peru. I special ordered him through Oliver Lucanus at Belowwater.com.
albert_dao
Are they, you know, attack the glass aggressive?
dunl
Small children. That's exactly what I was thinking...
Piranha Man
Are they, you know, attack the glass aggressive? No. I have a little guy who is. I wouldn't want one this big and that aggressive. Way to dangerous. I am VERY cautious with this guy. He would easily remove 2-3 fingers. Very powerful. It's like a lion. canucklehead
Yikes, ever enter him in any pit fights? Seriously, very cool fish. What do they need to house them for life, a 180?
nevchewy
Wow!!! what size tank is he in? nev
Piranha Man
He's in a temporary tank it's a 75. He's fine as is, as I have a powerhead on the bottom that he likes. He swims in it 24/7. A 180 for life would be plenty. as long as the tank is 18" wide and 5-6' long he'd be happy. I will put him in a 108/125/130 size range.
