t3ch
Hi everyone! I am very new to real aquarium plants and not too long ago I bought 2 plants to experiment the only problem is when I got them I forgot to ask what they are and now I have no idea. Does anyone knows what those are? (the left one and right one, the one kind of in the middle is a very crappy artificial plant in the mean time I get more real plants) Thanks in advance! syno321
The first picture is Giant Valisneria. If you mean the single stalk in the right hand corner of the second picture, it look's some kind of Bacopa.

t3ch
Wow you guys nailed it. Thanks for that! I guess a good start to a planted aquarium is knowing what your plants are....Oh also quick question as I think about it today on the Egyptian head I notice lots of fur like algae, how can I control those and should I worry? I've been careful with natural light and although there is quite a bit in that room there is about never direct sunlight, water test have constantly been 0 amoniac, 0 nitrite and 0 nitrates for the past 2 months. Thanks!
ckmullin
Watch the water parameters to make sure the tank is in balance. A big problem right off the bat is 0 nitrate! If you have questions or in need of plant give me a shout.
