FunkSolid
I bought a used Fluval 406 Canister filter off of a dude here in Calgary. Looks like its brand new, and runs well. Only issue is that every... 30 seconds or so I hear "the sound" and some air bubbles come whipping out of the outflow. They are very fine bubbles and the flow is not interrupted. Is this normal? I know that you can buy a impeller rebuild type kit, but before I spend the cash I wanted to make sure. Thanks friends Andrew
jvision
The bubbles are either caused by air getting into the system (small crack in hose connection, gasket?) or cavitation (not enough water coming into the pump). Check all of your connections, maybe add some Vaseline to the gasket and clamps to the hose connection (or tighten them up a bit, if they're already there).
