Moogled
Man, I saw a documentary about them on Animal Planet while I was in Disneyland. These guys are crazy strong. If memory serves, these guys are nicknamed "Thumb Stingers" or something. SMASH! Aren't these shrimp fish hunters?

Cap'n
Supposed to have the most highly developed sense of sight and the fastest motion in the animal kingdom. There was a great article on them in a National Geographic a few months back. Very interesting creature.

rudy
Do you think the glass breaking thing is a myth or reality?
JSTR
one of the guys on Canreef, had one in a glass 5 gallon for years with no problem, and the tank in that video in glass. From what I understand, it is possible for them to do it, just not really likely. They like to stay hidden in the rocks, and only attack as lunch passes the opening of the cave. If you are really worried about it pick up an eclipse5 or 7, acrylic tanks with lamp & filter for under $100 I believe.(or donate him to my empty 5 gal hex tank )

rudy
O.k. this thing is fricken hilarious. One hour in the tank and he is eating krill. You are thinking one, or two pieces. He grabs every single morsal of krill I threw in there and hoards them. Very prehistoric looking thing. He comes out of the cave an holds the krill looking at me. I am very impressed Albert Edited November 15, 2005 by rudy
