BlkWolfe
As some of you know my wife just recently received her permanent residence status in Canada, and after 14 months away from home, it was time for a little road trip During the trip we headed down to my mother-in-laws condo near St. Pete's in Florida (this will fill the required fish portion for posting on a fish forum), and a couple cool detours i had to throw pics up of. Left Edmonton tuesday. wednesday evening and 24.5 hours of driving later... hello Chicago
BlkWolfe
Hadnt stopped to eat since crossing the border, so had to make one very important stop before dropping in and surprising T's friends... Sliders

BlkWolfe
The condo we stayed in at John's Pass in Florida. Sister-in-law doing a cameo
BlkWolfe
White beaches that go on for hundreds of miles. We would wake up to coffee on the balcony and be greeted by bottle nose dolphins 50 feet offshore heading out to feed for the day, and return around 6 in the evening
BlkWolfe
Yours truly getting my feet wet in the Gulf of Mexico. I should mention after having seen what was pumped outta Naw'lins into the gulf, i was NOT about to get the "buddies" wet
BlkWolfe
Had grouper for lunch one day at a dockside restaurant (John's Pass is the largest supplier of grouper in north america), all the time being tended to very closely by these little moochers At one point there were two great blue herons and three of the smaller whites lined up less than 3 feet from our table waiting for scraps. None came.
BlkWolfe
And aside from hours layed out in the sun, golfing at a beachfront course, getting one hell of a sunburn on my back despite never being without a generous coat of spf 45, and a newfound appreciation for rum :drunk: , these little guys were a hilite of the trip... BlkWolfe
and only seeing these on TV, i was pretty much speachless by how tame and friendly these stingrays were... Crappy picture, but they would pass by and come up to the surface to glide against your palms and arms. Absolutly smooth with a small bump almost like sandpaper every square inch
BlkWolfe
And after a week in sun, sand, and rum... We come home to this...
