  1. It soundslike you have fin rot, usualy caused by poor water quality. You will probably need something stronger to clear it up. Here are a few links for you to check out. http://freshaquarium.about.com/cs/disease/p/finrot.htm http://www.getridofthings.com/get-rid-of-fin-rot.htm http://www.nunnie.com/fungus.html I hope this helps you out.
  2. This post is closed until the moderating team makes a decision on what to do with it. By the way you have a pm, I suggest that you read it.
  3. I added this page to the site library
  4. No these are from a different source.
  5. You should drain the tank down to below the half way point. Then clamp your center brace into place using the same length as the ends. Also make the cener brace about 6" accross.
  6. Well all the eggs were gone this morning
  7. Thanx Jay I'm looking forward to the challenge.

  9. While I was feeding and doing water changes I noticed one of my discus looking a little rough. upon further inspection of the tank and the other discus I found 2 had paired off and are gaurding eggs. I will keep you updated.

  11. I have 5 of the petricola in a community tank without issue. They are fun to watch scurrying around at feeding time.
  12. I run sponges on most of my tanks and don't have water clarity issues. I find that they are super easy to clean and there are no moving parts. If you have more than one sponge running you can rotate cleaning just like any other filter.
  13. Aluminum will release certain chemicals in to food or water due to oxydation if you cook with it, I would be cautious on this one as the release may be toxic to your fish.
  14. Have you tried photobucket? You may have a better result
  15. You can state the store's name and ask for pms on opinions. If it turns into a vendor review then the thread will get closed to any public replies. And any public reviews will be editted out with a warning.
  16. For my angels I use Wardley's fry liquid for the first week giving them som 3 times a day. Then I start them on NLS Grow formula ground up through a pepper mill. Once they get big enough they go to the Grow formula pellets. I syphon my free swimmers off and put them in an established tank keeping the tank cycled by using one or 2 small fish and removing them when I add the fry.
  17. How often do you suggest I do this, I just did a 25% water change yesterday? By the way I have met you, I bought the 25 gallon from you last year. I would stir up the gravel every couple of months and do water changes every 2 days for a week. After that you can go back to weekly or biweekly water changes. Yes I remember you as well. You are from the reptile forum.
  18. You should stir up your gravel and increase your water changes to 50 percent.
  19. Have you checked this out? http://www.aquariumplants.com/Warm_Water_D...Plants_s/20.htm
  20. You can also look for them on freecycle under computers, or any of the used sites. 50mm would most likely be found in older computers.
