  1. Haha I also found my cichlids liked it too, they chase the dot around like it's their mission.
  2. Ive always wanted a snake, but sadly my parents never allowed me to get one - figured it would escape like the hamsters haha.
  3. Haha bats are cool, but when I lived in Killam we had bats in our yard...Might have been a bit worse than it was since I was little, but you could barely go out the door without one swooping out of the tree's haha, ahh memories.
  4. Im not even gonna ask what expenses were to build and maintain this monster! Beautiful!
  5. Hey, just looking for some answers or some advice for a tank I want to setup..I was thinking about setting up a 15-20 gallon Kuhli tank, here are my questions: 1) How many kuhlis would be able to survive and thrive in this size of a tank. 2) It's been a while since I have kept these guys so, what are some fav. foods? 3) What type of a setup would I need, lots of caves, sand, hiding places? Thanks alot people! Ryan
  6. Strangely enough I havn't forgotten, even with my terrible mind...I guess if you do it enough it becomes a law written in stone in your memory. I have, however, and regulararly add a dose of prime, then forget if I did it or not, so I give another dose ha.
  7. I actually heard on the radio today that the retailers plan on selling all their old stock with previous dollar prices before they start to lower, so prices might eventually lower a bit.
  8. I washed my target sand out really well, and still the water was cloudy for half a day..if all else fails, just wait for a while not really going to do much to the tank if its just cloudy:D
  9. Can't say I am a fan of blood parrots, but you did take some very good pictures!
  10. Cool stuff, arowana's are crazy fish..what's the setup it's in like?

  12. I could tell you had a kick @$$ filtration system for that tank, the first couple of pictures looks like the fish are sitting on tile out of water near a pond somewhere haha Crazy pictures!

  15. I LOVE tropheus, I'd like to have a huge colony one of these days, they look stunning!
  16. Male Mbuna tanks are so much fun to watch it's crazy, cichlid-forum.com is a good resource but i've found some of their information to be well, I guess some people love over-crowding the fish, when others like myself think it's mean to put so many fish into one tank they run into each other, but hey that's just me! Good luck on this tank, keep up posted, and once the transition is made, I would love to see some pictures!! Ps..Make sure you over filter the crap out of the tank, they like to be messy Ryan
  17. I pretty much leave the stuff on some of the rocks and the back of the tank, I keep it off the front and sides of the glasses....One good thing about the stuff is that it comes off really easily, on the flip side, it's EXTREMELY ugly, especially if you have some whiter rocks in the tank. I've been hearing the whole theory about the algae dissapearing after a few weeks, but it's never happened for me..
  18. Currently a 4 year old Betta I started out with when I came back to this hobby.
