  1. Just had to say I like the new layout. Easy to follow headings... sweet.
  2. if anyone wins the lottery, they should be obliged to own a tank big enough for a breeding pair :P
  3. They are touchy apparenty, however half the battle is done for me as they came out of Gold Aquariums already eating enriched mysis. This particular species will only get an inch or so longer (name escapes me, but Albert knows his stuff) but there is much info to be found here: http://www.seahorse.org/library/articles/S...actsAndInfo.pdf
  4. temp tank, greedy buggers. I had no idea they would eat this loudly.
  5. that just looks like a big betta :P
  6. Jay!! You have fish too?? Woah... :P
  7. dunno, I've had one in a chunk of rock for two years and all it eats is leftovers. Red, hairy, and blunt claws.
  8. Oh wow... thanks. There could not *possibly* be any other explanation. -05-
  9. he really does oink when he is begging.
  10. some of the strangest things happen in saltwater. My coral beauty killed a banded cat shark three times its size.
  11. I don't think I have ever said this before.... nice oscar
  12. He can be a little pushy... but he oesn't actually hurt anyone... I am gowing out my jardini and fei feng with him currently, and neither one of them is even a third his size. After the initial "you are in my tank" episodes he pretty much leaves them alone.
  13. Sometimes the mundane is interesting too... this guy was from gold's too, now he is almost 10" long...
  14. lol, yeah...frozen would be bad
  15. they were stil jailbat when I got the males. 2 males, so what... 6 females required? :P
  16. no clue. to be brutally honest, I take what Dennis and Albert say pretty much at face value. I would offer a clearer pic, but the little fellows hide a lot.
  17. untitled.bmp....and eating NLS -01- Great. now I have to figure out how to imbed images allllll over again
  18. It's not the deadliness that keeps me from having something like a blue ring octopus... it is knowing *I* would likely kill it. I just can't keep it happy and healthy, and that alone dissuades me.
  19. sorry to hear that. gorgeous fish
  20. I know it is not terribly exciting for most people, but finding these at a reasonable price has been a chore for me.
  21. see, what I would *like* to do is soak the food, and then add it to the tank, if possible.... it would save targetting a lot of aptaisia...is this a likely solution, or will it kill my fish?
  22. so it works well? what about fish that eat it, or other inverts?
  23. Kind of like the 'bad cousin' kept locked in the basement...
