So I went for a vacation for a week did a water change and made sure my water was all topped up in my reef tank . A friend of the family was taking care of our cats and keeping an eye on everything . I gave him a list of things to do and watch out for on my tank and my cell number if any problems I text him almost everyday how things were to make sure protein skimmer did not over flow . So I came home tonight everything in my tank was dead the water was gross grey . He said that the skimmer over flowed and leaked onto the power bar . And shorted out no text to me on what to do . No call I asked him today how things were and he said fine . What should I do now . sue him . Can I claim this on insurance ? Any ideas I'm lost for words

well after many years of fresh water i did the switch to a 70g reef , i tell you it was worth it i love the coloring of the fish and all the deffrent life growing in the tank , i will add some pics soon

i have 2 fx5 and a xp4 running on my 175 i was wondering if would be ok to remove the sponges from the xp4 and just runn all bio balls ceramic rings and what not . otherwise a strait mechanical filter would that be ok to do ??

For unseen problems i am having troubles with my tropheus tank and i am considering switching it over to a salt tank , it is not drilled for over flows. I have no way of getting it drilled noe do i wanna move it , I am wondering if using my two fx5 filters will work and If purchasing an internal skimmer will work ? I want corals and what not i will be getting a metal hylide light , for the tank wich is 175g , any imput will be greatly appreciated

when i lose a fish i just take it as an excuse to go get a new fish , havent been to a store in a long time, sucks u lost a nice fish but is all part of the hobby they dont live forever . atleast is a fish and nothing to get attached to like a dog or cat . that would be hard

i keep 3 deffrent species in a 175 , 26 bubosi , 12 black krisa and 8 illangi al get along no problems

just a curious question who owns this site . or the main admin . just curious. would like to say love the site

not realy and they dont monitor it . people are old enough to have respect for each other . the chat they have now is a second party on that would not put strain on this site.
