i have white midas fry from 2 white midas. they're a nice pair i might be able to lend you the female or give you fry. Quinn

youre using sponge filters right brad? there shouldn't be any diseases spreading as long as you stay on top of your water maintainence. i noticed the gravel usually stops the water flow from one tank to another by quite a bit in the marina divided tanks. it also takes quite a while for sufficient amounts of water to transfer over to the next tank. Quinn

i have had the same thing, heater burn that gets infected. treat the water with mela and pima fix
-
does anyone know where to get the divided tanks like the ones above? i would like to start selling fish online as well. Quinn

psh i wouldnt worry. my clown loaches seem to do that during long periods of fluctuating temperatures. i have mine in a fish room and the temp always goes up and down. if its too cold i noticed they are very lazy. bump the temp up about 2 or 3 degrees. Quinn

you could also soak the food in a garlic solution or use garlic guard. you can pick it up at big als i think. stimulates the fishs smell sense and is like a piranha to blood. ive also tried using small amounts of cows blood, its gross but also works very well. soak the pellets in that then use less and less until no more is needed. thanks canucklehead. they male they say is about 12" and the female is about "8 or 9". i believe they will be going in a 90 gallon tank until my 120 is ready. Quinn

that is a very impressive setup. nice job. Quinn -
male is definitely green terror. the little uglier one almost seems to be a type of amphilophous species. possibly zaliosum? uhh i would have to say impressive fish. i want that big GT Quinn

I think you have been misinformed blue aros are same as blacks if you get them from most chain petstores yes. but in some cases they are crossbreeds. i know a man by the name of Roger who does alot of shipping to the PJ's and such petstores who has actually bred these along with a few members of the Aca. its very unlikely that you will get one of these fish though, as they mostly end up in the states. If you do a little research on them I'm sure you'll agree with me ohh i do agree with you. this is just what i have been told. if you check big al's shipping papers, im sure they'd say blue aro but in fact are blacks.

there is a such thing as blues. silvers crossed with blacks. gives them the nice blue tinge but also causes alot of bad genetic mutations. i wouldnt mind one but they are a little expensive. Quinn

if you have hydrochloric acid sitting around soak everything in a dilute solution of that. if not, soak all aquaria stuff you are using in a heavily nox iched or methylane blue water concentration, and malachite green works as well too. make sure not to get the green on your skin as it can have bad outcomes. eg. it can alter a whole segment of dna to cause cancer on mrna strands. Quinn

i must say youre crazy lol. what kind of fish are you breeding in the other tank? i'd say arowana then youd be rich lol. or large cichlids. Quinn

dont think it could of been said better, Quinn

i would melafix and pima fix the tank. looks alot similar to fin rot. Quinn

i wouldnt risk taking the seal off. i'd just lower the water level and silicone the inside of the seal. make sure when you seal it the silicone is in a bead. Quinn

Just like you said, the umbie is my baby. i love him for his personality and how vulgar he can be towards myself and other fish. he seems to know who his master is along with the rest of my fish. like my oscar for instance, is 8 years old and he loves when i pet him and hand feed him superworms. And on the flip side my Dovii knows who i am but still thinks he is the kind of the fish room. it amazes me how agressive he is but yet again, will never bite me when i stick my hand in his house. anyone else did this they would lose a finger or 2!! It shows that i am also very similar to you, but yet am very different due to my like and dislikes. all i have to say is love your fish family!!! Quinn
-
Thanks! And don't worry, I'm sure there are more bettas in my future. i must say my ëx" tank looks much better than when i had it. the umbie just tore up the place lol. Quinn
-
i also have an xp4. probably the best bang for your buck, and ther fx5 is a little more pricey but its a bit better of a filter.
