They sure do!! He also has his own personality.He eats when "he" wants to eat, he lets us know and if my GF is not fast enough he gets very angry!! He won't eat when I feed him,just my GF can feed him!LOL

I have 12 fry that I might sell once they get bigger! So if your interested keep me in mind! They are Awesome fish! If you ever get the chance to buy some don't hesitate! You will never regret getting them!! Here is a pic of the fry.

Oh I will!! I will be the happiest guy around if I get fry from these guys! I know I have my work cut out for me though! I have done alot of research on these guys and read that they are very difficult to breed! Cross my fingers and hope for the best I guess!! I picked up 12 fry to maybe convince them that having babies is a good thing!! LOL

Just wanted to show off my Puff Daddy!! He is approx 12 inches and getting rounder by the day!! I got him as a Juvie about a year ago from Franco's and I believe he is a Fahaka Puffer. He is on a strict diet of Frozen Krill and is very Anti-Social. He eats his tank mates!! Just a side note: I mention this fish is a "HE" but it might be a "SHE" Dont know how to tell them apart!! Might just be a Puff Mommy!!

I have a question for the experts.... I noticed one of my female front's egg tube hanging down.My question is....Has she laided her eggs already or is she preparing to lay eggs? How long does the egg tube hang down before she lays the eggs? She isn't holding right now as she is still eating. I noticed the male hasn't really paid her any extra attention yet,I'm sure he just hasn't noticed. Thanks

Could you put up a tank divider?? If they were mine I would move the fry to a separate tank...Thats just my opinion.... If you dont have an extra tank I would try using a tank divider...

I just came in from outside and picked up a bowl of worms.The Frontosa's dont even taste them.... They were eaten soooooooooooo fast!! I gave some to the Polleni I have and they werent sure of them but eventualy ate them... What a great idea for fish treats!!

The stuff I got is White. I know they have all kinds there,they sell to all the Plumbing and Heating Contractors. I didnt want to get the Black ABS because I have White sand in my tank and thought the White pipe wouldnt be as noticable. Your best bet is EMCO.... They are on 61Ave and 2Street SE just 2 blocks up from Chinook Mall. There is also an Emco on 40Street and 70 Ave SE in Foothills Industrial... I picked up a length of 4" PVC pipe for just over $10.00...

We should make a game of this...See who can name all the fish pictured above!! I know I cant but I would love to know the names of them as they are awesome looking fish!!

I have been told by a couple of fish stores that is common on those models as I have one that does the same thing.... I use Vasiline on the O Ring and it seems to seal it.... If I had my reciept I would return mine aswell...

No way!! Im taking them in to get fixed!!! LOL!! I put a tank divider up so they have no stress from the other fish...all my grow out tanks are being used from the other 5 batches of fry.... Looks like the LFS's will be over stocked on Red Jewels soon!! I had a real scare when I got home from work today....I guess the eggs changed color and when I looked inside the bell today I couldnt see the eggs.... Now I am freaking!!! LOL) !! I lift the bell and shine a flashlight inside and the eggs are still there!! Thank god!! I thought the mother ate them all...She is alone with the eggs in a 33 gallon.I wasnt sure how or what the male would do... My poor heart has never beat so fast in my life!!

I cant believe it!! My breeding pair of Red Jewels just bred and the inside of thier bell is just plastered with eggs... I couldnt even start to count them... So guess what I will be getting rid of in a couple of months?? Do they usually lay so many eggs the first time?? One proud fish caregiver!!
