actually..... its a Hampala macrolepidota :thumbs: I have a few and they get HUGE over 20 inches!!!!!!!!! I knew it! When I went to google to find info on them there was no info. I saw a fish that looked kinda like mine but it had a way different name. Thanks for the heads up. I can't wait until he reaches 20inches he would look so cool.

I would not trust those petsmart koi. I have a freind that bought a few koi from them once I think he payed waaaaayy to much for them. A few days later one dies while the others where doing fine. Then another one dies so he returned them. After "breaking some heads" her managed to get a refund. This is what I think happened: I don't know hpw your petsmart is setup but at mine there are big tanks at the bottom of the selfs reserved for koi. Beside the koi tank they had an oscar with hole in the head that someone brought in. There is a tube that connects the two tanks so that there is a current. They had something covering the whole so the oscar would not swim through but it was not commpletly covered so I think the oscars bad water and disease spread into the koi tank.

These guys grow to 18inches. You don't have to worry about your rays eating them. Plus they are not at all aggresive so they might be okay. The only problem is they like to hang out at the bottom of the tank so there might be some problems there.

Besides him I have never seen another one for sale besides online. I thought they were common? PLus he is 4inches and the ones I have seen for sale online are only 1inch or so. Do you guys have them in alberta? It seems odd that he is the only one I have seen. I didn't even buy him from a fish store I got him from a guy who was moving out of town. More pics Here are just a few more pics. I have been doing some landscaping work in one of my tanks plus there are some little nic nacs that my uncle sent me for my tanks. They are very interesting and it keeps the fish busy because they don't really have an eventfull life. These three decorations he sent me provide bubbles too. Just like an air pump does. Some of you might have heard of a place called king ed's in BC. It's a big place with tons of fish and other animals. It's a real popular place to go. Right now they are having a 50% off sale so I decided to go check out what they have. I came home with 2 black fin sharks and a 2 spotted barb.

That's to bad that happened to you. Did you find out what might have killed them????

A long time ago I had these two parrot fish in my 90g they were the best buds. Then one day things changed and one of them started attacking the other one so after much thought I put the one that was attacking into my 135g. A few months later a bought another oscar he was two inches at the time so I put him into a 20g. Then I moved him into the 90g because it semmed empty with just a parrot fish and a pleco. When I put him in there was a little trouble but that soon past until a week ago. The parrot fish and the oscar in the 90g are fighting!!! Now that you heard my problem I was thinking of putting the oscar into the 135g and moving back the old parrot fish into the 90g again. It has two be him again because he is the smallest in the 135g and the exact same size as the one in the 90g. It has been 6 or 7 months now since the tow parrot fish were separated. If I put them back together do you think they will start fighting again?????? Also I have another question do you think this new oscar will be okay in the 135g? He or she is 7inches and the 135g already has one 10inch oscar an 11inch parrot fish a lima shovel nose catfish,two jack dempseys a silver dollar and a lepord pleco. Will he be okay in this tank too? I need these questions answered asap! tks...........

He is very nice! I hope you have a big tank because when I got my albino oscar he was 2inches and I put him in my 20g then a half a year later he is 7inches and 1 thick. So be careful he will grow FAST!!!

That is very neat,I wonder how they do it. There is also another tank like that with parrot fish in it.

JUST a little update: I found one that is about 5inches for $185, not that bad of a price. The problem is it is located in the U.S. so I contacted the seller to see if he will ship to Canada.

Very cool horse you have there. I love horses my parents have a small farm with two horses. They are one of my favorite animals..............well besides fish.
