  1. How awesome! Definitely a catfish I would love to keep someday.
  2. That's an impressive list Pat! You are my inspiration!
  3. Here's my list. Pundamilia sp. Crimson Tide Pundamilia Nyererei "Ruti Island" Haplochromis sp. Ruby Green Xystichromis sp. Kyoga Flameback Aulonocara Hansbaenschi Fort Maguire Tilapia Snyderae P.S. Great stock Patrick, I hope that one day I can have an impressive collection just like you.
  4. Some beautiful fish you have there. Did you get anything else along with the European shipment? What else don't you have?
  5. Nice shots! You truly have some of the best victorian collections out there. Is the kyoga flameback pictured your main breeder male or the son of your breeder male. Looks fantastic.
  6. Nice transformation. They are some great looking fish.
  7. Beautiful shots! Simply amazing.
  8. Awesome pics. The mbipia lutea is a stunner. Your fish are just a joy to look at.
  9. Those are some very nice shots of amazing victorians. Thanks for sharing. You should take more pics of your other vics as well.
  10. Those are some amazing vics you have there. This is actually the first time that I have liked the rock kribensis. It is just so stunning from its colors. I really want them now. As for the kyoga flameback, I am just so envious of you. That is one good looking fish and probably my most favorite fish out there. How does it feel to own such magnificient victorians Patrick? Only if you were able to ship into the U.S, I would grab lots of kyoga flameback fry from you to improve my breeding stock. I got a question Pat, when did your kyoga flameback start to mature and start coloring up(as in showing its amazing red color)?
  11. Patrick, wow! I have to say this again, thanks for being an inspiration! I believe the chromogynos will be the next victorian on my list. Awesome fish. Be sure to get some pics of his son.
  12. That is one amazing chromogynos! He is very stunning, how about pics of his son?
  13. Nice collection Patrick! I love the vics, I wished you could ship to the U.S. I would be a big time buyer.
  14. Who are you talking to? Sorry, it seemed clear when I wrote it....I was talking to you tydus (or anyone else out there actually that has flamebacks and that may be willing to part with one of their males) I would love to, but I am located in the United States. Plus, I only have one kyoga flameback male, the other one is a pundamilia nyererei. Thanks for asking though, but Patrick is the man you're looking for.
  15. Those fish you listed as nyererei in the link are definitely haplochromis thickskin, not pundamilia nyererei. They are very beautiful though. Nice fish.
  16. Is there a way to translate those websites? Those fish are amazing, and I would love to find a way to read and gather the info to gain more knowledge about vics. Very cool websites they are, and very beautiful fish.
  17. I like your male thickskin, because he is a little more elongated than usual. Very cool, I would get him some females and breed him if he were mine. Good luck. :smokey:
  18. No problem. I would love to see the nyerereis, so keep it coming.
  19. Thanks Patrick. Wow, he is very beautiful. I love that guy, he is my inspiration.
  20. Your fish doesn't look to be a nyererei, but instead a Haplochromis thickskin. Nice one though, he looks amazing.
  21. My male "Kyoga Flameback" has a bar that begins from the corner of his lips that runs through his eyes to almost the top of his head. The lower portion of his head is blue not yellow nor red. His lips are blue and not yellow. He has a lateral bar that runs from the beginning of his gills to his peduncle which breaks into pieces and resembles bars which are not evident like the "Nyererei" species but are faint. The lower flanks of my male "KF" are yellow and turns into lime-green ending at the peduncle and his anal fins are whitish blue and becomes red towards the perimeter. His dorsal fin is red running all the way until the end where it becomes bluish and his caudal fin is red broken up by blue streaks but is red around the perimeter of the fin and his pelvic fins are black. My "Kyoga Flamebacks" are very docile fish. Sometimes my male flares to the my juvenile male nyererei in the tank but only because of the similarity of colors they share. He does not bully the tank mates and only do so when breeding (chasing fish around to get them out of the way). I have done a lot of studying on these fish and have observed mine thoroughly. I do see why you are very peculiar of my fish as my "KF" probably shows his faint vertical bars that resembles a nyererei. But from what I've seen, not all these fish are created equal and not all of them will have the same exact markings. What matters is that it must carry the qualities used to decipher it from the rest of the similar fish or families. And I know that there are many victorians out there that are so similar that getting a positive identification is almost impossible. Here is my pundamilia nyererei "ruti island"
  22. Thanks for the info Patrick. I will try to see if any of my juvie males exhibit those colors. Right now I feed my juvies NLS grow and they seemed to have grew fast and colored very early than expected. All my fish are exclusively fed NLS as well. Your fish will be absolute beauts and you have so many. I envy you and idolize you. Good luck with your fish and try to get some new pics of your male. I would love to see a recent pic of him again.
  23. That is nice, so many males you have though. If I were near, I would buy them off you. Do you have pics of your group? I am always excited to see victorians.
  24. Thanks Patrick. I love these fish and they are my most favorite species of vics to have ever kept. You are one of the reasons why I first started to keep the kyoga flamebacks, since seeing your beautiful male. Your male is probably the best I've seen and I wish I could have some just as nice. And I thank you for being an inspiration. You should grab yourself a group, these fish are amazing! You won't regret it.
