  1. Hey, got your PM. Can't figure out how to reply. There is a member of CAS who does a lot with killies. I will ask him!
  2. Postponed until further notice. Stay safe everyone and wash your hands!!

  4. Start taking back your empties and digging in the couch for change! Calgary's auction is March 29th...
  5. Just a heads up, that Hong Kong supermarket on 17th Ave SE(Calgary) has limnophilia aromatica for 1.99 in the fresh herb section..
  6. I'm not sure if they are both female but my thoughts are to artificially hatch the eggs. Take the eggs out and put them in a separate tank with some anti-fungaland an airstone on them and keep them warm(80 degrees). See if they hatch. Keep us up to date and good luck!!
  7. Sounds like the loach and any other fish may be the issue., eating the fry. A fry tank with algae pellets should work as long as they're fed. You may have to have a long talk with hubby about this...
  8. And you get duckweed and you get duckweed......duckweed for all!!
  9. Hey all you groovy fish people.. Calgary's fall auction is October 20th. All the kool kids will be there!!
  10. Hi, I can send messages but people can't message me? Please let me know. Tanks!!!
  11. That no duckweed rule really sucks.. May not attend in protest... lol..
  12. Same good looking auctioneers.. asking for a friend..
  13. They should be fine with angelfish. I'm not sure about dwarf gouramis but I have found the larger male gouramis(blues, three spot,etc..) will pick on and kill females.
  14. For a low light tank, you could use anubias, java ferns, vals and crypts. There should be lots of contrast between these plants. Hope this helps!!
  15. Yes, it's called the Fin Gallery and it's on 13th Ave and 4th St SW in the basement. They have some cool killies in right now..
  16. !0 gallons, heavily planted and with lots of floating cover. They will colour up betta..
  17. I'm not sure on the answer for this but haven't noticed anything from my angels. Obviously albinos are less hardy but if you get a lighter coloured angelfish that's locally bred, they should be fairly sturdy.
  18. Wild bettas can be pretty shy and many of them are amazing jumpers too. I have kept many of them and find they are happiest in a very well covered tank with little light and lots of cover. I also find the aggression with the males can be diffused by having more fish. My species tank has been a host to several types of wild bettas at the same time. I find if they're similar size, they should be okay. I have not found the smaragdina or the imbellis to be very colourful but the mahachai have(they also can be kept in brackish water). Hopefully this helps!!
  19. So we are headed up to Edmonton Saturday and am hoping that we can see some Edmonton fishrooms. PM me if you need your room "inspected". We'd love to see them!!
  20. Viewing starts at 10 and the auction begins at 11.. Start saving up!!
  21. Check your kelvin temperature on your bulbs, 6700k is best. Get the plants that work in your water and your lighting. Add some general fertiliser and you should be good..
  22. Ok, so who's bringing what??? I'm saving all my duckweed for Syno321...
