  1. I just set up my holding/grow out tank last night. Put my 2 holding electric yellows in and voila this morning about 40 babies from one female. I just hope they make it as this are my first cichlid fry.
  2. I have tried the Jungle Tabs with no luck
  3. This is too wierd. My most dominate fish has that same growth plus above his eye. Hes a beautiful fish but not enough to do surgery or risk all the others. Did Dennis say exactly what it was I couldnt find anything on any sites?
  4. You have beautiful Vics and by the way the wood I got is amazing as well. Too bad I couldn't meet you in person.
  5. Everything has been on hold....I haven't tried the sealer. I guess now that I just bought my 2 rena xp 4s today, everything should start back on track and I will let you know as soon as I know :smokey:
  6. My long time boyfriend and I have decided that we are going to try and get Visas and move to Australia in 4 years....so excited.
  7. I will try and get one tonight. He doesn't like to be photographed. Hes shy I guess lol I checked and he has a bumpy face, its got pits and grooves
  8. Hi, I just hope he is not the same as the member before me. My guy has a different coloring on his fins. I got him as a unknown and would like to know lol.
  9. I ended up taking my 14 inch pleco. I didnt get anything but hes out of my pirahna tank.
  10. Just wondering if you can just take your fish or do you have to contact them first?
  11. I'm just wondering how much filteration I should run for my 225 gallon? Would 2 rena x3 be enough. I plan to have a nice assortment of cichlids in the tank(probly 40-60) fish. I also have 3 Marineland emperor 400s I could use, with the Rena's.
  12. Ireland is definately going to be my next trip. It was actually a toss up between getting married there or Jamaica. Jamaica won this round. Ireland is next on the list. With the last name McDonald, I cant not go :smokey:

    Hi

    :welcome: to AA :smokey:
  15. :welcome: to AA. So what are you hiding in your fish tanks?
  16. It doesnt have urethane in this one, it says it is human, animal and vegetation safe. I am going to test it on some styro in a jar of water first to make sure it seals. I will also be using rapid drying concrete on my background first then the sealer. I have a 225 gallon tank in which I really dont want to have to change the water 10 times to stabilze the PH. I may also soak the background in the tub for a week or so changing the water in there every day.
  17. :welcome: to AA. There is a great wealth of knowledge to be tapped into here. I've done some tapping myself already!!! :smokey:
  18. I actually ended up finding a water based sealer that is animal safe at Home hardware. They had to order it in for me but thats okay. It is by a company called Excel.
  19. I was just wondering if 2 part epoxy is okay? Also how about with Urethane? I want to build my own background for my 225 gallon but can only find sealer with urethane in it. Gotta love living in a small town.
  20. Here is a link to an awesome background. Can't wait to do mine now for sure. I went and got my styrofoam today:) http://westerncichlids.com.au/diy-aquarium...kground-part-1/ and part 2 http://westerncichlids.com.au/diy-aquarium...kground-part-2/
