  1. The trail of eggs that came out of her near the end of the video was wierd! I had to call over the hubby and re-play it for him! Thanks for sharing! I've never seen anything like that before!
  2. Gotta love the fish that love Algae! I thought the shrimp I bought would eat it, but I guess I have to starve them to...so i'm thinkin' those American Flag fish are a great idea! Nice job on the tank!
  3. Lucky Frogs! Nice habitat, and nothing to harm them! Nice colors!

    Hello!

Welcome, Good Luck with the SW tank!
  5. They're pretty fish...I like the white ones...I rarely ever see 'em that color!
  6. whoa!! WIERD! But cool at the same time. Kudos for you for taking on "special" fish!
  7. I have a tiny aquarium with two female PK bettas (one is metallic blue the other red) and they come to the front everytime we go by to see them, and they even have a tonne of color! I also have a dozen galaxy Rasboras that my roomate decided to donate to me (lol). They look like little trout! Very easy to take care of...I like 'em!
  8. Those two fish together are going to look AWSOME! at least I think so. Are the rocks on the background real or is it just a pic?
  9. He's funny, 'cause he keeps seeing his reflection in the glass and he's always flaring up. He's actually really pretty cause he has this pink body (Can't really see it in the pic) and then it turns into red. I like the pink hahaha. He actually started chasing the clouds the other day...little bugger! The newish drift wood isn't helping the color of the water any either...blah.
  10. They were selling these fish last weekend at Petland in Shawnessy as well as the cobalt ones! Man were they Super cool...they were alomst sold out by Sunday!
  11. I decided to move thing around today...did a water change, put a different light on the tank...here's what I ended up with.
  12. Very drab looking, but the males certainly are cool! I have Albino Ruby Reds and Blue's in my tank with some Leleupi, Brichardi, Lamp. Transcriptus & Dickfeldi Seemingly wierd mix, but they leave each other alone.
  13. Only $13 for the whole shippment, not too bad. John is super nice and his plants are fairly cheap as well. I have a shwack of his plants in another aquarium, i'll have to take a pic when the water clears up a bit (new Drift wood...says it all!)
  14. Butterfly Hillstream Loach (Beaufortia kweichowensis): These guys aren't exactly plecos, but they're freakin' cool to watch and the petstores that i've seen sell them as Butterfly Plecos.
  15. Oh my! That's AWESOME!! What a wonderful looking planted aquarium! It's a joy to see and the progress pics are great!
  16. I took a gamble last Friday and bought some plants online from John (www.theplantguy.org) and he shipped them yesterday and I got them this morning. They look great! The swords are green and full, the hornwort is nice, Cabomba looks lush and green and everything came in alive! I'm pretty impressed...hopefully so will the fish. Just attached a pic of two of three swords...I had to put 'em in this tank until my light gets fixed for the 10 gallon.
  17. Welcome! Lots of good deals around! keep your eyes peeled!
  18. Welcome! I see a lot of people on Kijiji.com giving away Convicts...you might check there for your male too? Good Luck!
  19. Probably, Plecos can usually withstand the nit picking, but I like my bristlenose, so nothing nit picky gets to go in with him/her/it. The others are probably going to hide more.
  20. Gourami's are relatively peaceful fish...and Tiger barbs tend to be more aggressive, nit picky...it's completely up to you to keep them together...but if you're going to have 10-15 tiger barbs in the tank, it might be best to find the gourami another tank. But, you never know... Good Luck.
  21. I was planning on keeping them in separate tanks...I think when you came to get those two small tanks from me a few weeks ago you saw I had a lot of 'em left? LOL I think i'll try for 2-3 types in separate tanks...just a couple or two of each probably.
  22. I was thinking about the following fish: LAMP. OCELLATUS LAMP. STAPPERSII NEO. BREVIS NEO. CAUDOPUNCTATUS NEO. MULTIFASCIATUS They look nice but I wasn't sure which ones or where to get 'em locally. I do think they're awfully cool though...living/breeding in shells and needing relatively little room!
  23. I was just wondering if anyone here is breeding or keeping any of the Tanganyikan Shell Dwellers? I was looking at them this past weekend and thought they might be a nice addition to the collection. Any past experiences with them, hints, tips...yadda yadda...haha...would be nice too.
