  3. Daphnia and the fairy shrimp are out...found me a schwack of the fairy shrimp yesterday...Way more than last year already!
  4. It's that time of year again! Time to show off your tanks! Sign up with me, and I'll put you on the tour! At the end of the entire tour, we'll have a Potluck BBQ at the last stop (in the NW). The club will provide the Burgers...and the rest will be provided through potluck! The tour is scheduled for June 9th!!
  5. my L. curviceps finally decided to spawn...however two days after spawning dad attacked mom and chased her away from guarding the eggs...and the oil cats probably feasted on the eggs. Oh well...another time...maybe next month. lol In the mean time...Dad still looks good...though not sure it's completely captured in this so-so phone pic.

  11. They've been selling kits like this for a really, really long time. It's a learning experience for most people...sometimes it sparks the interest in the hobby. I got my son a Triopps kit for his bday last week...should be interesting!

    Hello.

    Welcome to the forum.! The ornamental Bamboo grows fine when partially submerged but to keep it healthy long term you would want to keep the leafy portion above water. What kind of crayfish are you looking to keep? Some apple snails do eat plants while others don't.

  16. You don't need to cycle anything as you are using the same filter and substrate. .. right? Do your water change. .. and carry on. It happens to the best of us. ;-)
  17. You could do two smaller heaters that way if it happens again it won't have enough power to cook the fish. As for the inline. ..I have no experience. :-(
