  1. I was having trouble keeping snails in my tanks. For some reason they would dye off in my hex when I had it, and the only thing that I had in there were some green terrors that I was growing out. I tried all kinds of snails, but the only ones that would survive were MTS. I still can keep them alive in my 90g, the only ones that are ok are the millions of MTS.
  2. Looks like a lot of thought and planing went in to it. I was thinking of doing some thing simmilare, but witha false bottom and back wall.
  3. OK so most glass shops can do it right.
  4. I need the sides drilled, how do I make sure that it is not tempered.
  5. I looked at the that FBF the day they started the sale, and I thought about it but they were asking 25 for it at the time, man I should of went back.
  6. So the question is, who can I take this tank to to drill it? I need 2 bulk heads instaled and one on each side of the tank at the bottom. Anyone have a good experiance with a glass shop that they would recommend????? Thank you.
  7. With the MTS, if there is enough food for them at the bottom they will breed like crazy. I have a 90g and a sand bed of about 5-6inchs, and just befor the lights go out you can see the sand bed come alive realy net. They are by far the the best snail to have to stir up your gravel and sand bed.
  8. Ok where can I get some and who in town has them?
  9. No I originally lost my terror and wanted to get another so I went out to River front and they had a whole whack of little ones, so I bought 4 and I let them grow up, he seemed to develop the fastest and nicest (I don't think that is a word, but he had nice colors) So I kept his and traded the others. It seemed to work because he is a really nice fish, and if I walk up to the tank he is right there at the glass. Looking at me or out at the living room.
  10. I have never seen a green terror with a bump like that. I couldint even find one on the internet. I serched for adult green terrors, and didint come up with any thing So would he need a lady friend? He is the only green terror in the tank.
  11. Can some one tell me what this guy might be crossed with, he was orignaly bougth as a green terror and I picked up 4 of them and kept the nicest one. Now this bump is rapidly developing on his for head. Its not infected and doesint look like he is sick, it reminds me of a Frontosa. Heres a pic.
  12. Right on good to hear, Iam hoping to pick one up at the end of the month. I will have a peek at your pic's Thanks
  13. Iam looking to get a 150w viper halide for my NC24. Anyone have any experiance with one, or has one right now. Your opinion and experiances would be great.

  15. That is a hell of a light, Iam saving up for a Viper halide my self, but now I want one of thoes.
  16. I know I have seen pics with them in peoples tanks just wanted to make sure. Thanks L
  17. Has any one ever used a mag float on a nano cube? I bought one while we were in BC and it almost seems a little ruff to me. Will it scratch the tank?
  18. Next time pick up a pair of panty hose, cut off the feet and fill them with a bit of sand at a time and run it under a tap. Worked for me in the past. Sounds a little silly but it works.
  19. You cant realy go wrong with trumpet snails to mix the substrate, that and you most likely will never see them durring the day. Only if you look realy close, you will see the gravel move. Also if you dont over feed the tank you shouldint have a problem with over population.
  20. So I got supper lucky and I got a 35 or 40g hex and a nano cube 24 for christmas. So Iam going put my paddle tail in to the hex but I want to add some fish in with it. Something relitivly small and that won't get eatan or eat my newt. I was thinking a small cichlid. Any thoughts are apretiated. Oh just a note here paddle tails perfer fully aquatic enviroments with lots of water movement. So I was going to run a fluval canister with the tank being full or if the filter will run with about 3/4 water. There will be lots of rock work and drift wood all the way to the top so that he can climb up.
  21. I heard about a study that tested all the anti bacterial soaps and hand sanitizers out there. I believe that they found that they were mostly useless, didn’t do a thing. I can’t remember what products they tested but the study found that there were not as affective as using good old soap and water.
  22. If you have a room air conditioner you could run the pluming in to that, or a small beer fridge would work also, just drill 2 holes in the side and silocone them in to place. Basicly you could use the beer fridge as a stand. I think that would be kinda cool.
  23. I used to have a 5.5g plumed to a 10g sump and that was fun but we just didint have the room for it. Put a all in one tank is going to be nice.
  24. So Iam getting a nanocube 24, for christmass and I have been thinking of a stocking list. So this is it Pair of Percula Clowns Maybe a pair of fire fish. 2 Fire Shrimp 2 Cleaner Shrimp Candycanes fuzzy mushrooms star polyps maybe a sun coral maybe a brain coral Kenya tree Maybe a manitis if I can find one small enough. The sun coral and brain are a maybe, at this point. So all input is good, Just a side note I plan on running the tank for at least a month with just rock and what ever criters come in on it. Then add the inverts then the corals and then the fishies. Thanks L
  25. I have to admit that I looked at the thread and allot of other threads that have the word free in them or if it looks like a good deal. I have wanted discus for a while now but I know that at this point in time I don’t have the space or the time to do 3 50% water changes a week. I was ready to get in to discus about a year ago, and that is what stopped me. They are a beautiful fish but not for the beginner or some one who has not done their home work. The first thing I usually do when I see a add for a fish for sale, I Google it get my info and them decide to contact the seller or not. Or if it’s a fish I have experience with, I make sure I have the room for it, so that the wife doesn’t kill me for starting another tank. Just my 2 cents, dunl I have to ask where do you get all the hitman pic's I love that game.
