No idea. I bought it used about 2 months ago or so. Can I put another light over top of the tank? Like a desk light or something? Or do they need a specific kind of light? Also should i pull all the fallen leaves out of the tank?

I would like to try to breed them at least once. The other guppies were savages looking for them so i put the 8 small guppies I had into the breeder and let the mom roam free in the tank, even though she is eating them too. The fry are hiding but then get comfortable and come out and then they get picked off. I need another small tank for the fry. lol

It is starting to concern me now that I have found about 15 of these things in my tank. lol

I tried to move it out so its directly under the light. hopefully that will help. The hornwort was growing really good too. Same with the stuff in the picture too, but some of them started loosing their leaves while others are branching out maybe because some of it was shadowed by my driftwood.. Thanks for the advice. Do you think a co2 diffuser would help?

I just found my first baby guppy. would it be okay to move the pregnant mom into a breeder net?

I have a small planted fluval ebi and i have a couple of plants that all the leaves are falling off of. One is hornwort and the other I'm not sure what it is. My water temp is about 76-77 and i have a few guppies, cherry shrimp and some unidentified snails. What could be causing this and if the plant garbage worthy once all the leaves fall off? The attached pictures are of the unidentified plant. Also should i did all the fallen leaves out? They have made a small pile under my driftwood.

Found a couple more in the tank. They fold leaves over then=mselves so its damn near impossible to find them.

Nope those larvae have long limbs this was a caterpillar. Have you seen them before jvision? For a brief moment i thought it was a type of fish parasite, like a worm or such.

Nope synclita I think. Actually a caterpillar that lives in water and turns into a moth.

I had a good look at my some leaves stuck to the glass of my tank and there were what appeared to be whitish yellowish worms. It spooked me so I did a bit of research and found out they were aquatic caterpillars which use leaves as a defense against predators.Kind of neat until I read that they would eventually turn into cocoons and then moths and fly out of the tank, which freaked me out. Sounded like something out of a nightmare lol. Needless to say I pulled the couple out that I could find and flushed them down the toilet. haha Anybody else ever had or seen these?

Looks like there hasn't been any responses lately but I will try anyways. I'm looking for a niger catfish (oxydoras niger or I've also seen it labelled pseudodoras niger). Thanks

I fed my baby silver arow freeze dried bloodworms. They stay floating at the top so they work perfectly. Mine still had the egg sack when I got it.

So far it's worked like a charm. Hopefully it stays that way. I also put Teflon on the motor and also where it connects at the bottom and everything seems to fit together a lot better.

Okay thanks I might have to give that a try. I read about using Teflon tape to make the motor quieter on the nanos too. Does Teflon have/release any chemicals?

It's the connection where the spray bar connects to the top of the filter. I was thinking if I could somehow thicken either side that the connection would be tighter.

Do you know If there is a quick fix for the spray bar besides siliconing it in place? I think the clip is a bit week. I replaced it with a couple of small sunsun internal filters but it would be nice to have it as a reliable back up lol

Is it common for the spray bar to fall off quite easily as well as the bottom to fall of easily? Or is mine just a dud? If the water level exceeds the top of the filter or it gets bumped the spray bar goes flying off and water comes gushing out of the top an makes a real mess.

I'm considering putting my rhino pleco up for sale, but I have no idea what price to put on it if I do. It's about 12-13 inches long or so. No marks or anything. I'm just not sure if he is a fit in my tank anymore. I saw one in big al's, no where near as nice as mine but a bit bigger, sell for 150.00. I don't know if that's a ridiculous price or not, but let me know what you think. Thanks!

Is it necessary to bolt them together if they are side by side with a sheet of plywood above and below. It's not like they will be able to move with roughly 4000 pounds on top. I was also thinking of just shortening the stand to 22 inches or so, but I like the idea of having them seperate just because they could be moved so much easier.

Yup it might scrape the doorway but I will get out my buffing wheel if so lol

Bought a 300 gallon acrylic tank but the steel stand does not fit down the stairs. Could I take it to a welding shop and get them to cut it in half and reframe the two open ends. 48"x 30" each rather than 96"x30"
