I don't mind either..I mean I know its cruel and that the chances of casualties are high. They look quite fasinating..Also every single fish isn't injected most are born like that aside from the gene altered parents. --- I stated that soon after I said that sentence..I'm just going off what I've heard and read since personally I've never owned any..few owners said they die after some time.. Not too sure though I'm no scientist on them I wouldn't mind keeping a few as an experience. I wish I could be injected with a glowing gene..Just saying :P

I read somewhere that these glofish are banned in canada not sure if this was true or not. I find them quite beautiful when in pairs..I mean saying the zebra danio is pretty but not the most beautiful. for a dollar more you could get something a little more pretty you know? Fish keeping is a demanding and expensive hobby. All in all i'm sure everyone can agree that its addicting and totally worth it too see a beautiful fish set up in your living room while watching tv. or falling asleep with a nice 33 gallon cornered into a wall near your bed..beautiful hobby. Are they any good at all? I'm on a tight budget at the moment and I'm looking for a fairly cheap but powerful heater. And I'm considering them. I'm quite dissapointed because I bought a tetra 200W heater from wal-mart. Because it seemed cheapest too me but its barely effective. It blew out on me, the tempature doesn't increase it stays at almost below 70 and thats dangerous for my fish. I have a lower watt submerisble tetra heater on my 10 gallon and it works perfectly. I'm upset the higher models don't bring great quality for me.. Any suggestions? I need a new heater soon..

I was there about a week ago now.. that Ranchu was impressive with its size and natural health. Although I wouldn't buy it in consideration too its size..your average too the eye -Huge tank would maxx out on him alone xD If she was interactive and highly fearless I'd then probably buy it as I could gently feed or let it play with me outside of the tank. her babies were totally adorable as well, I enjoyed watching them wag there entire body too swim

that recent power outage costed me one of my red wag platties. There inexpensive fish but its really sad too see one die a few mins after the power came back on. And it shouldn't have even died thats the funny part..miscarriage she was due any moment? in a later note the power outage was kinda amusingly fun marlborough mall was burnt down and people were locked in walmart letting them out one by one o_O

Hey I'm new here, Been keeping fish now for about 2 months and I'm quite obsessed with aquariums at the moment. I have a 33 gallon aquarium at the moment I have 5 red wag platties (female) and 5 mickey mouse platties. and a 10 gallon tank in which I would use to hospitalize. I've did a lot of research in what it takes water chemistry and species etc.. Hope to get too know you guys more =D
