The 2 major fish stores dont carry it know who doesI checked there website.

I have a mild case in my 4ft just the dwarfs cichlids 3 of them are scratching nothing has died in the last 2-3 months but fish are healthy eating and breeding.what meds should I use?Its a fully planted community tank .

Anyone have suggestions for a tank setup to show them off .What I.ve noticed there nocturnal and skim the surface when they feed. There in a well planted community tank right now but....

you could probably buy sockets and ballasts for them at EECOL or Gescan.

Yeah the fixture is poorly designed.

Thers no dust its a wire mesh with a small fan when they get close to the light they get pulled in.

Try putting both in a neutral tank?

Thought I'd throw this in here .In the last year in Calgary there's been an infestation of fruit flies thru grocery stores when brought home . We've been trying too get rid of them but. The wife bought a Uv bug catcher( Costco) that works well they just are attracted to the light and get sucked up in a vacum with wire mesh and plastic valve there usually dead and dried in a week .Once in a while some are alive , I just pull out the screen trap and dip and shake in the fish tank they eatem right away.

I have bought 2-3 36 inch T5s for my double Coralife in the last 3 months they seem to burnout to fast I will be trying to return the bulb without sales reciept wish me luck.I think the design of the fixture doesn't dissapate the heat fast enough.

Well my 4ft tank is looking gorgeous fully planted and the congo's and longfinns and rainbows were putting on a fiery show a breeding frenzy just an intense flash of colors and mating dances jiveing in and out of the dense plant growth.Sadly the eggs get eaten almost as fast.Rainbowrics aussies are fantastic gotta get some more be seeing you soon Ric.

Try Burnco concrete medium size rinse but raise filter intakes alittle 80lbs is cheap.

I use wood auger bits of diferent sizes on local wood from rivers (sterlized), much cheaper.Another tip is to drill the hole big enough to fit a straw thru when you pull the plant out of the water its roots will cling togehther forming a long string slowly drop it in straw while spinning it, then put the straw end in wood hole and slowly withdraw.

Is it necessary to heat there tanks?

Any chance you could get some Hillstream loaches or Reticulated?Did any dwarf cichlids come in with the S.A. order or do you have any?

When do you think my fish will be ready for pickup? Might get some extras.

I was told there is some chemical that converts the calcium to something else and makes it inert so its not toxic?

I removed the dwarfs but I think the female pencil died the male is fine ohwell maybe someone can read this and give some culture tips I wanna get more.
