  1. Nice fish. If you want to clean out your photo quota,go to your profile page and delete the old pictures you loaded.
  2. I just couldn't read anything.....my vision was very blurry I thought it was funny that she asked me to read stuff
  3. Agh yes,I was in the same boat last night. But 20 mins of eye washing and I'm good as new. No need to call poison control like the bottle says.......the lady I spoke to was not very helpful lol Quote ''just read the bottle and tell me the ingredients" Lol easier said than done
  4. Also remember to put the cap back on fish food containers. My dog had a expensive snack when he ate a full container of NLS I left on the bottom shelf of my stand. This also applies to anywhere if you have cats :P wow really! im assuming the dog was normal and such after eating the NLS right? its prettymuch all natural ingredients in NLS
  5. lolz good tip. i just work on bare cement to help my spilling issue
  6. add marine salt, but not at the full dose of a SW tank. im in the process of trying to hatch nerites,i have my eggs in a brackish tank. but i believe it was Wingin it that has had success in the past hatching nerites. i believe she actually put the eggs in a full saltwater tank to hatch
  7. im not 100% sure what you guys mean by walstad Method. do you guys mean just a planted aquarium, with natural decorations, and sunlight instead of t8's or t5's? 'recharging' the soil, how could someone do this? could i get away with just adding seachem fert tabs?
  8. if anyone is building a pond in the edmonton area this summer,im looking for experience. ill come help carry rocks and dig ect,ect.....im just looking for experience thanks steve
  9. this is easy, grab some extra airline/airtube/airpump hose......whatever you want to call it. then drip acclimate tie it in a loose knot....start a syphon from the tank with this airline. then let it slowly drip into the shrimp bag, after hours remove some water from the bag, then continue driping untill the bag fills again.
  10. cool cant wait to see these put together
  11. this advise is some of the most important you will get, either be happy with no one touching your tanks the entire time your not in town. or spend the time and teach one of your friends how to do it ''just how you like it'' i get so worried about it i usually write down everything they need to do aswell.....in a step by step guide.......even though its always the same person doing my work
  12. get a airstone running in the tank for now, that will help out,if you want do small water change aswell(5%-15%) i have no experience with your problem sorry dont know what to say. my pro 3 2180/2080 is running good,no water spilling everywhere
  13. welcome to the forum. good to see more people from the grove in the hobby
  14. can those cheeks pop?it seems like they would need a bare bottom tank or pond just so they wouldent hurt themselves. i dont like this fish, and i kinda feel bad for it.
  15. yep thats what i was worried about, just a quick rinse and no problems when it was added to my tanks i believe bamboo does best if you only submerge the bottom(roots and stem) the leaves are saposto grow above water i think. but if it is working for you let me know it would save me some work,i use an elastic band to hold my bamboos lleaves out of the water
  16. i got my bamboo at canadian tire in the garden section. just to be safe give them a rinse first,i believe they are $2.75 each bamboo cleans your water slightly, and it also is a nice decoration
  17. orange eye blue tiger shrimp..... i want them so bad
  18. thanks alot for the helpful post.......too bad someone had to learn the hard way. i have 14 on order....when i ordered i actually asked people if the 28 worked the same.....they said yes......but i diddent explain my use for the product when i was speeking to the person at verebrun......it wasent her fault,i was unclear.
  19. really? full salt? thats good to know,if brackish doesent work for me ill up the dose of marine salt
  20. in my experience the they need very clean soft freshwater to breed........then you take the eggs and put them in a brackish tank to hatch they lay there eggs on everything,(if they lay eggs on driftwood, put the driftwood into the brackish tank) -edit- keep your temp at 77-78 in the freshwater tank, and keep the temp at 79-80 in the brackish hatchout tank -edit again- mine breed all the time.......im just waiting for them to hatch in my brackish tank. hope this help
