so it is up and running with plans and fish in. i am wondering how the heck i fit all my plant in my 55 gallon tank over the next day or so i need to move some plants around to make them just right. and ill post the photos of my spike moss hut i made out of a flower pot and glue i need to pull it out and glue down the moss it defies gravity i thought i would hang but it floats

Yes bga has been treated and can't see it any. more. Not trying to save water will save me. Some time and. Work. But I think a am going to re use some. Of it. I have to put it in pails anyways. I just will not go nuts about re using it all. I can dump it in to the tank or. Pack it 20 feet to. Dump it call me lazy LOL.

OK so i just finished putting together my new stand for my new used 75 gallon tank. i have scraped and scraped inside and out with a blade and vinegar also put in about 6 " of water to check for drips. when the water was in the tank i add about a cup of belch and wiped down the walls with it then re did vinegar today any tips. going in to my tank 10 ml of prime maybe 15 ml for good luck i am going to use my 2 fluvial 305 heater from my 55g tank will add a second one before fall my lights from my existing setup 4 54w t5 ho co2 tank and existing pluming for sub straight i have 3 maybe 4 bags of small rock about 2MM mixed with 1 bag of Flourite adding one more bag of Flourite thinking i will spreed it on bottom of tank and cover it with the old mix. i have enough rubber made bins and pails i am going to save almost all of my water. plants are coming out and going in a cooler fish in to a rubber made with a lid and heater and air stone till i have the tank just right. hears what i need to know. to wash out existing sub straight or just live it just finished getting rid of BGA ? if i wash it out just tap water? or should i get the plants and fish out then just stir the hell out of it and put the water in to my rubber made bins and let it sit and just put back in the water without the gunk that will be at the bottom of the bin / pail? Plants should do a quick dip due to just getting over bga? planing on starting the brake down at about 1 pm i have a friend coming over to help move the tank and stand about 3 is 2 hr enough time to do a full brake down of a 55 gallon planted tank?

if you have alot of plants cant you just do a power head for flow or one of the prices auto cheep pond pumps for flow? plants plants plants and lots of them let your plants and substrate do there jobs. so i just went and played with Aqua Advisor and it is on CRACK i got 1/2 way though my stock on my 55gl and it is saying it is over stock on the 75gl i am going 2

i have just been letting the co2 go at it 24/7 so fair i have not seen any problems but that being said there is outside light creeping in at what of my god its 6 am lol. not seeing much growth out of my tank though witch scares me a weeee bit i know i have the lights and co2 and the filters for it just not seeing growth yet

hay i have never used my tank as a excuse not to do house work but i like it i like it a lot lol

hello every one has any one else ever had this problem? Hear it gos at about 7 pm tonight i set up my computer chair in front of my tank set up the heating pad for my back and a second chair as a foot stole and a fuzzy blanket. All set to reed a Book right? At about 8:45 i check to see how many pages i have red from the last dog eared page. and it is only 3. I spent the whole time looking at my tank. witch is coming along quite nice if i do say so my self. now i am sitting trying to do this post and i keep looking at my tank. who needs shaw cable when you have a fish tank is what i say. even though i still have it lol so get a book and a chair and enjoy your tank. my 2 year old daughter will sit in my chair and watch the tank over the tv most of the time as well. hear are some fish tank viewing aids i have discovered over the years of tank viewing. the fold up lawn chair a foot stool Glass of wine beer rum some music a good book or a bad one you will not get though much of it. and the best one there is. your kid or kids siting with you. so lets hear about your tank viewing and how you do it

20.8Gal is not much of a water change is it?

my understanding is they do not want you to just dump something in any lake or pond you see fit. be like dumping our fish in a lake and having them take over elk lake on vancouver island is full of perch cuz some one put some in there and there is nothing to eat them.

sorry my math was out i was going from what dad told me and i looked it is more like gas is closer to 7 lb per gallon sorry

you know water is 7 lb per gallon a 5 gallon pail is 35lb so there for a 10 gallon would be 70lb i do not know about you but thats 1/2 my body wight .

your best bet maybe to buy a fish from one of those fish farms that you can pay and catch fish at. other wise you might have that chat with fish and wiled life and you know pike get rather big right?

interesting time to lose the dam air pump till some one gives me a muffler idea lol

ya im not working right now and EI has not kicked in yet. in a perfect would i would install a solenoid on a timer that shuts off an hour before lights out, and on 1/2 hr before lights on i have 2 fluvial 305's running on my tank cant hear them ever. back to the dang air pump it is http://www.hagen.com...=01008440011101 and you experts say i can just let the co2 fly all night long?

Hello so i love life till 11 pm when my air pump comes on to gas off the co2 in my tank till 8 am the lights come on at about 10 am. yes i know thats 13 hr of 4W per gallon of light but the lights for me lol. Now has any one came up with a air pump muffler i am up till about 1 every night and i can hear the dam thing from my bed room. i even removed the spring loaded check valve cuz it was humming more then the air pump. will replaces it though. i have tried punting it in socks works so so, i even made an en-closer out of a 6" foam roll that was from physio therapy cut it 9" long sliced 2" off it hallowed it all out plumed it put it back together and it made a nice drum. someone hear in fish land must have away to make it not so noise i can deal with the air bubbles cuz that is keeping my fish alive over night till i get a soiled for the co2 being vary new to the co2 end of things i am scared to do 2 bubbles per second co2 in my 55 gallon tank over night with nothing rely braking the water on a well covered tank so plz me my and help me out.
