So had to move my apistos over to my 35G as they were being jerks, the one pair basically were kicking the Bolivians out of every cave/hidey hole (6 in total). In turn I moved the GBR pair over to the 60G (4' by 13"). Each ram pair has now claimed a cave on the opposite ends of the tank. Ideally I'd like to add another pair of each ram but am wondering if this would be doable especially if breeding started? Currently has around 20-25 sterbai Cory's (mostly sub adults), 4 stiphodon gobies plus pair of each ram. Running an AC 70 & 30, with temp at 78F. I will be rehoming some of the sterbai corys. So please some info, 1 more pair of each or just 1 more pair of either, personal experiences of pitfalls most welcome.

Yet another update lol did a WC after taking fry pics last night and guess what? Yup they are spawning again, started again around 1pm (which is going to suck, when I'm back at work and can't snag the eggs) with a single female and single male, the second male joined about an hour later, hopefully another female joins as very few eggs so far

As I always seem to kill off my microworm cultures, I've been feeding them the repashy but not in gel form. Fed once a day 3 heaping spoons once a day. It doesn't foul the water and allows them to forage all day. I do use a small pipette to suction off the leftover before the next feeding, only problem is it does collect in the sponge over the out feed from the breeder but a quick squeezing in the main tank clears it. Plus the fish in the main tank will scavenge it.

Fry at 3 weeks, sorry for quality but taken with iPhone. Fairly certain I own a camera but have no idea where it is.

I would check with any commercial livestock supply stores, maybe see if UFA has something or can point you in the right direction.

It is a freshwater, and no not water quality as it has a 30G sponge filter in a 10G tank with weekly WC/Vac of 25-50%,huge clump of java moss and sand bed. The daily feedings of brine shrimp tend to make this tank break out in hydra as whenever I feed just flake or gel food I won't see any until I start feeding brine shrimp again. Planaria is from poor maintence. Sorry got the name wrong it was Safeguard dewormer not panacur.

OK, I asked as just used the last of my panacur for a hydra outbreak and thought yes a vet clinic no online hunting.

Curious, will they also be selling fish meds? Ie: panacur, flubendazole etc

According to friendly forecast, global Edmonton and weather network the only change was an increase in pressure by 1 degree. All I remember of the weather was clear sunny with a bit of wind lol I keep an eye out for storms and such as the black corys i have due tend to like them and can usually induce spawning with them with a storm and a new tank.

Lol true but you might this time as I'm running short on tank space. Only have enough space left for another trio of duplicareous, a group of hastatus and maybe space for a small group to double up with either my similus or loretos lol

+1 on the fun, there is a viewing first so you can peek at the goodies, the auction then a raffle. Excellent time although the auctioneers can get a bit rowdy , and there is this calgarian woman who thinks she can nab all my corys *cough* Fishclubgirl *cough* but all in all fun and fantastic deals.

Update: hubby has found a fish he thinks looks cool lol which I have no doubt is going to hurt my pocketbook. He wants the main centerpiece fish to be Altolamprologus Calvus (black). Now after research the Shellies are out but can't find out if it is compatible with julidochromis transcriptus, and believe it to be all right with synodontis lucippinis. I realize that no fry will be possible from the Julies (and possibly the calvus) unless I rear in a separate tank but this is more of a display tank. So what should I start with for the calvus? Thinking 6 Julies, 3-6 synos, a pair of BN and 6? Calvus or is this pushing the boundaries for a 3ft cubish style tank with a rock wall?

Angels, rainbows and gouramis are all top to mid level swimmers. Hatchets are really the only true top level swimmers I know of.

Corydoras oiapoquensis,corydoras pinheiroi,corydoras sterbai,corydoras amapaensis,corydoras acutus all nice warm water corys. +1 on rainbows, sky's the limit on species for a 90G, plus middle & top swimmers, very social so have a lot of color and action Pearl gouramis would also look amazing, with your tank size could keep several trios

O.o keep them getting busy, I've been looking for more and have only been able to find an odd looking XL size variety that are twice the size of regular Bolivians and don't look near as nice.

Dayam how did you get that bolivian so colourful? I've tried everything to get my pair to and just won't. But truly stunning fish .

Try giving aquarium central a call, I know I saw some there a few weeks ago, not sure if they still have any, but they did have wide brown stripes separated by thin white stripes.

I'll try and get some hatching pics for sure. The nitrites I expected but the pH just seemed wonky as this is just tap water with prime, water comes out of the north Saskatchewan directly to Devon. PH out of the tap is 7.5, and I don't treat the water with anything but prime and the occasional Indian almond leaves
