  3. It's vac, have one similar. I had to glue mine together, it tends to come apart and be anoying. DON"T SUBMERSE THE WHOLE THING!!!!uummmm at least that's what I llearned lol
  4. PM Henry , "fishguy", he had a few last week. I'm very happy with these two beauties, I hope I have a male and a female. I'll want to buy two more from another source later to hopefully breed these guys. I love their markings. Thank you for you replies and compliments.
  5. The only thing I know is that Fuller's earth is also known as Diatomaceous Earth. As for outdoor gardening is can be used arround tender plants(lettuces ect.) that get devoured by slugs to kill them. It does this because it the death of a thousand cuts. It is ground up sea crustations and is very sharp. It tends to kill earthworms too. Will it harm snails or other soft bodies?http://search.netscape.com/ns/boomframe.jsp? query=kill+slugs+natural&page=1&offset=0&result_url =redir%3Fsrc%3Dwebsearch%26requestId%3D270e 3d770955f45e%26clickedItemRank%3D10%26user Query%3Dkill%2Bslugs%2Bnatural%26clickedItem URN%3Dhttp%253A%252F%252Fwww.dirtworks. net%252FDiatomaceous-Earth.html%26invocation Type%3D-%26fromPage%3DNSCPIndex%26amp% 3BampTest%3D1&remove_url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww. dirtworks.net%2FDiatomaceous-Earth.html
  6. that must be what it is, though the serated bone is hinged to the bone mass, I was thinking maybe one of the side fins? At least this is making some sense, was begining to wonder if I had mice lol
  7. The history on this tank is I had my communty fish in there , I had at one point lost my large pleco. Simply had never seen him again, assumed the cat got it. I had cleaned out the tank , gravel and two very large silk plants. But you're right , I did not clean off the large drift wood, only rinsed it. I suppose it is possible the pleco might have lodged itself inside it and I missed it...hummmmm. Mystery solved? Could these be bones from my pleco? He'd have been about 7 inches last time I'd seen him.....
  8. lol ty..The convicts were in that tank before I cleaned it out. I did clean the sand well so I doubt I missed something like that hehehe
  9. Looks perhistoric lol The barbs are only 2 1/2 inches long, thses bones are 1 1/4 and 1 1/2 inches. ( just a pic from web).
  10. I'm so confused. Last week I was certain that when my crayfish molted the tinfoil barbs enjoyed a lobster meal. I found the molted exoskelleton and two bone structures, they don't have bones do they? I assumed the cray was done for. Today while tidying up the tank and filter I found both crays were allive and well. This begs the question....whoose bones?
  11. Speaking as a wife, and a "gun match this weekend widdow". Ask her nicely, let her know she comes first.Ask for her understanding in that the auction is not a negotiable date/time, but that you'll make the "US" time worth it for her. Put a lot of thought into what you'd like to do together, let her chose, and then throw in some surprises. BTW bring out the wedding album and go over the fun things that happened, the "remember whens". She'll melt and wont have any problem with you going anymore.
  12. Is it possible they are salt crystals? Look through a strong magnifying glass see if they are squareish in shape.
  13. Any possibilty of electrical shock, a crack in a heater, that sort of thing? Silly question , but I've seen it before, tiny little shocks that go unnoticed, don't feel a thing when your hand is in the water but put a meeter on it and ooopps there it is.
  14. The new ones ,55Gal and up, have 3 lights, one that's in the flip up lid itself. The filter is powered by a submersed water pump, water runs through 2 and some models 3 spray bars into the layers of filter media, and returned either though a single return spout or spray bar. The water pump also has an airation attachment witch really stirs up a lot of bubbles. In some models they also have UG filters. It makes it for a "clutter free" water enviroment, fairly easy to hide or disguise the equipment. Thick glass and lifetime warenty. I want one too.
  15. I've picked up my new babies from Henry. SSHHHHH !!!! Don't tell my husband how much they cost !!! HEHeHeHe He loves them too and is happy as oblivious I also picked up some teeny tinies from Jason. Finding them in the 72 is "where's Waldo?. They are very cute baby BNs. Thanks Jason, love them.
  16. Completely agree!!!!! And Henry, thank you, I've never lost a fish from you
  17. Just did a LFS tour today, we went to the one store I've never been to and was hugely impressed with the variety and layout. What I was not impressed with was one tank of plattys was riddled with velvet, the kribs all had clenched fins, I stopped looking at the tropical fishes altogether. The cichlids seemed good but now the doubt was there. If I buy plants can I bring home these illnesses too?
  18. Sorry for your loss. Please consider all the good that has come from your care of this fella. obviously his ofspring are spreading joy to others. This may be that window to something special and your level of knoledge and care will produce something amazing. It'll come to you.
  19. I keep seeing Big Al's mentioned, where is this store? Do they have a website?
  20. I would consider placing the desk at a 90 degree angle to the window, you can still access the window (safety), and still enjoy the daylight withought direct sunlight on the tank (alge). Behing it set up a tall bank of smaller tanks against the walll 90 degrees to the desk.

Hi and welcome. I too NOW have the problem. I started with just 3 little tanks, was only a social fish appreciator....now I'm running 4 with 5 more going up, does that make it a fishroom? Do I require an intervention? And plants, on my, I can actually ID some now !!!! I want both fish and plants to breed !!!! Does this make me really sick!?!?!!! I'm having ssooooo much fun !
  23.    Thank you & thank you Customers always welcome. Will the plants be labled as to var. or at least code numbers so they can be given to the right ppl? ID will be key to the group orders being done with success.
