  5. Ya I sw the pic of that the tank I am getting is a 72" x 18" foot print. I might go with 4 or 5 sand bags. Brad
  6. I got a new 150g tank that I want to set it up. I was thinking about using 2 AC 500s to filter it for now. I would like to get a canister fillert latter on. I would like to heat it with 2 300w heaters, I think I want to get tronic heaters. For substrate I think I will get about 6 sand bags. I am going to have tetras, S/A cichlids, .and discus. For lighting I am going to use 2 4' 13000k t8's and 8 23W 6500k curly Q CFL lights. I also want to paint the back of the tank black, but I want to use paint that I can remove with out too much effort. If that is not an option I can just use a black back ground. Brad
  7. I have done it in the past, but I dont know about know. I do know that you can send them as cargo. Brad
  8. I would go with th 10000k lights, I think the fish look better with a little more blue light. Brad
  9. Nick you couldtry one of those pancake air compessor and a vavle system like they use in garages. Brad
  10. it would make more sence to just give out colector permits and be able to sell them. I think that they should also have some thing like report a releaser, and have very heavy fines for people releasing and kind of animal with a permit, such as the bird rehabilitation places. just my 2 cents though. Brad
  11. when was this. I would think that even 6 years ago would make a huge diferance.
  12. cutie for sure. I have always wanted one. I will have to wait till my baby is older though. Brad
  13. how big of a tank do need for that if they dont kill the next one. Brad
  14. that would be so cool to see. Brad
  15. I take it you work at BA, would you happen to have the price for a 160g tank on boxing day. Needs to be 72x18x30 or so, I saw about 10 72x18x29. I will be in TO that week but my dad can come pick one up for me. Brad
  16. Sounds good my friend, but how crazy do they breed? I have around 100 now started with one 6 months ago. They do also stir and clean the gravle. Brad
  17. I have some trumpent snails I can bring out to you in the new year. they breed like crazy and with my BN pleco and the snails I have no algae in my 15g tank. Brad
  18. That is to bad I would love to see a cold water tank with some of these fish in it. Brad
  19. Is your tank bare bottom, the shell could also have come from you live rock. Brad
  20. here is a link I found about yellow perch Brad here is a link on the cave & basin lake. cave & basin lake
  21. That is good to know I never would have thought of that. Brad
  22. Good idea until it floods into a major river or lake, even through a small waterway, the alien fish in your pond can become a real hazard when given a chance to travel into a natural waterway. And you call yourself an albertan -05- JK JK LOL The perch would also need a pretty monster aquarium, if kept in a school (they will thrive) they will require quite alot of space, also it is quite hard to keep perch alive in an aquarium. I thought it would be cool but you are right you have to keep it contaned. I didn't know that perch would need that big of a tank. I thought that a 200g tank would work for a small maby 6 fish. I have never seen them larger then 6". Brad
  23. I am going to be in TO for the sale, but I tink I will send my Dad to get me some salt and maby a new tank or two. I can use some of those 10 g to set up my fish room. Brad
  24. you could try baby guppy fry. I have never had newts before though. Do you have a large land area you could also try baby crickets. Brad
