I saw them thanks. They were looking pretty fubared last time I saw them. Look healthy now??
  3. Canucklehead uses jedi mind tricks to make me want one. I am thinking we get motoro. Apparently rays do better in pairs......
  4. As it is hunting season and I don't have my moose yet I can't give up my Saturday. Next one for sure. Have fun guys
  5. I like sandbut if you do not have an external filtration such as a sump I would not suggest it. It basically cuts the life of your filter in half and is a constant pain to clean out. Smaller fish and coarser sand works, however as an oscar will stir just about anything you put in there up I would definately reccomend gravel. Medium sized to small is great for oscars as they will be more inclined to dig.

  7. Has anybody seen this guy for sale at Riverfront. Wow! I have never seen one for sale. Two expensive to buy but somebody should get it. :ph43r:
  8. My wife would love that. She can hardly stand one fish dork living there, let alone 100!!
  9. What the! I will try something else here. I see all of them.
  10. Insecurities about who likes you is not healthy Ryan.. I am just joking, but I thinkt he way it is right now works.
  11. Congratulations Ryan. Welcome aboard!
  12. I am totally an elcheapo guy. Usually my fixtures consist of t-8 shoplights, Walmart gro and shows, and one hell of a lot of tinfoil.
  13. Oh, that was a Clarias cat that I attempted to put with an umbee. Poor thing.
  14. You mean for sale Jennifer?? I will list them, although I bounce around quite a bit and have narrowed them down quite a bit here is my latest collection. Here is a gallery. http://www.cichlidgallery.com/under-construction?page=1 I am missing some of my new fish such as peacock bass and petenia slendida in there and a lot shown I no longer own.
  15. http://s6.invisionfree.com/AlbertaAquatica...p?showtopic=412 It is really easy actually. The only other thing I would mention is that between the first and second bag puta sheet of newpaper. This calms the fish as it can't see, and also works as somewhat of a plug iin the case the bag pops. Westjet was my favorite shipping method. Dropped the fish off at 8Am and they were at the destination at 11am. Quick, painless and relatively simple.
  16. How about an ATF. Canucklehead wants one for his bathtub.
  17. It was kind of one of those things that I would have bought because I got myself all rawled up to do so. I am glad they are gone. Lets keep it that way and keep my tendancies to purchase fish I can't possibly house in the long term all rapped up inside..
  18. Yes these fish are to aggressive and large for the aquarium.....but Paroon sharks go before I have a chance to buy one. WTF Albert. Large 10 foot migratory fish are easy to take care of.
  19. They are all reffered to as Jewel cichlids, however the Common jewel is a Hemichromis bimaculatus. They are rare only in the sense that petland does not have them in every isle.
  20. I saw these for sale at Riverfront. Curiousity was attempting to make me get another tank, but by the time I went back they were all gone. For anybody who isn't familiar the Fugu is the puffer that is almost responsible for Homers death in the Simpsons. This is the deadly blow fish.
  21. No Smokey. Fasciatus are rare. Elongatus are relatively hard to find, but not rare. You just have to ask for them.
  22. As they are West African I have moved this thread appropriately. By the way. If you ask a shop for them you can ask for 5 star general.
  23. Hemichromis elongatus. Sorry I did not see this post earlier. Fasciatus are very rare and there are very few that have them. Elongatus pop up occasionally, fasciatus can only be ordered by specialty places on the net like tangledupincichlids an belowater.com Albert and I were just talking about these guys......You should ask him as I know they have gotten them in before.
