My tank is 72" x 30" and it's 5/8, so I guess that would be the min, with euro brace.

Amazing setup you have there!! Beautiful Aros

Not to get off topic, you're in Calgary, check some of the rock quarries in your area. By buddy built a pond and finished off his backyard with rock from a local company. It was very cheap. Yes, a backyard pond is very nice.

I find that orange peel, apple core, vegs works the best. Don't use watermelons, or lettuce because.... too wet later. When it gets too wet, I tip the rubbermaid at angle move the soil to upside and let the water drain then scoop out the unwanted water. I find that if I am going to start a new culture, I will place newspaper on top and the worms will move to the top of the soil. If geleen doesn't have enough to give out, you can buy the red worms from the Earth General Store @ 2Flr-10832 82 Avenue. I think a big bag of worms is about $15.

letsgofishn replied to Erin's topic in General Aquaria Discussion
Erin, I would ask him, if he'll accept $200 because that's the best offer from your own family member!! Sure hope it's in Edmonton and not Edson otherwise you'll have to pay for a tank of gas too. -
WOW Jay, Nice Aro!!

Wow Gerry, nice picture!!

That's great Ryan! Glad you take pride in what you build.

I did purchase my Aro from Jay @ Arovillage, I was very hesitate in having it shipped during the winter, fear of pickup a fishcycle. My initial thoughts were to purchase a RTG, but after seeing a video of his inventory and then speaking with some member here, I was sure that the Super Red was the right fit for me. Thanks Jay!!

Congrats!! Perfect time to start doing your homework, what kind of Aro, what tank size.. etc. We built our 1st house around a tank as well, by putting in extra outlets, lights above the tank, reinforcement of the floor on the main level. I know some guys actually get the drain and water line beside the tank as well. There are lots of great guys on this forum that can help you too!!! Good Luck

Wow, I like those Red Hooks! Nice pic's

No, this is just a temporary tank until it gets a little bigger, then off it goes into the 280. The 280 is built into the wall which can be viewed from both sides. So no I am not going for the WTT. Still learning from you guys. LOL
