you should pick up a pair of coral life gloves.when adding fish and inverts you will want to put them in a bucket and slowly add your tank water.until the specific gravity is the same and the temp is close to your tank salt water fish and inverts are way more sensitive than fresh dont just float them in the bag i did this my first time and lost 50 buck worth of fish and shrimp was told to even do it with snails.you will want gloves even to handle your rock as their may be some things you dont want to touch like bristtle worms (ouch) i handled a mushroom rock and like 2 mins later my arm went numb and was havin trouble breathing. just my 2 cents

i hav 1 glo double 48 with 1 blue and 1 marine bulb on my 45 gal and its awsome 2 on i 90 would be good for zoos and mushroms just my 2 cents.deff see colby for a skimmer

i hav a 45 saltwater and a 30 gallon freash in the corner of my dinning room in my apartment,the buildingis old floors really suck.no probs yet and hope i never hav any,i will be calling my renter ins provider to see if they are covering or if i need additional ins.i want a 130 for my salt tank but think i will be waiting about 20 years till i can afford a house.good info thanks guys.

it did just molt on saturday,it seens to do it like once a week.I will have to look into getting another,do you know why they dont reach adult hood hare they hard to raise or they just get eatin?

ya it was a massive algee bloom,colby at elite let me his uv filter tank is clear now and going to hav to invest in one.

i just moved last week set up tank and it was ok for 3 days now the last 4 days i have not been able to see the back,i changed all my phos resin and carbon.used some meds last night e.m.erythromycin i removed the carbon and had to turn of the skimmer cause it was bubblin like crazy.woke up this mornin to what i thought was a dead bicolor angle and a coral beauty gasping for air at the top.was told to add this to help clear up the water i hav turned on the skimmer and put the carbon back to try and get it out hear is a before move pic and a 4 day after move pic any help would be appreciated thanks

i had the same problem with one of mine.i got some waters of the world from colby at elite it lowers the ph and make the water similar to there natural habbitat,they seem to be supper happy now and hav seen what looks like spawning but havent seen any eggs yet.

i had a starfish die thoses are nasty.appartment smelled for like a weak it was out of tank and in a bag i like 5 secs would gag a maggot.

good idea,but what about winter you would hav to blow ouy the lines or would you hav them above ground and just unhook and plug supply line.

was that the tank with all thoses wild peacocks. :cry:
