Was reading this on the CAS website

http://www.calgaryaquariumsociety.com/bap.php

Does anyone participate in this program? I wish I would have noticed this before with all the livebearers I have I could have my Master Breeders plaque by now.

But seriously, could someone explain if they are involved in doing this.

Thanks!

You fill out the application, and a designated 'spotter' comes and witnesses and counts the fry at a certain point, and again a couple-three weeks later. It is all done locally, and at year's end, info gets sent to CAOAC for national/international recognition, and you go into a 'breeders directory', get plaques, etc.

I have been thinking about doing BAP for a while now but I wasn't too sure how it worked. Can anyone be a spotter? I'm assuming it has to be a club member. Can it be any member or does it have to be the BAP person?

Anyone OKed by the HAP/BAP person can be a spotter.

Not fair....Trying to sell the evidence of livebearers LOL! I know at last count HOSStile had 1562 fry all 6 months old exactly. He is only 438 fry away from the 2000 point club and his fish are all holding.

Cross my heart

Hope to die

Stick a BAP plaque in my eye!
