Is anyone entering fish in the CAS Nov. 28 Jar Show/Meeting? Just curious is it works the same as a dog show? -roll-

eg. Sporting/terrier/working (dogs)

Egglayer/livebearers/etc (fish)

Then Best in Group

Then Best in Show

Does anyone understand this gibberish and what I am trying to say LOL!

I am.

Fish are classed by types, and depending on what we get, there will be greater or fewer classes....so, 'catfish' could be a class, but if we get losts of cats, especially different sorts, it may be further broken-down into 'Synodontids', 'Callichthyids', etc. As well, there are usually 'best in show' prizes, as well.

This meeting/jar show will also have available a number of show tank sets (lovingly constructed by our show/jar-show chairman, Jerry Yaremko, as well as myself and a couple of other CAS board members) for members to take home, should they wish.

We tried doing it the same as a dog show but we had a lotta trouble keeping the leashes on and they just kinda dragged when we ran them around the ring :) The 2.2 Gal I sold you would be perfect for jar show.

Was kidding about the tupperware -roll-

After further investigating and calling the CAS grapevine, I have found that we can call someone and use/borrow a little tank. We need to bring background and gravel , oh yeah and a fish of course.

I don't know what to bring. I will just bring my prettiest fish and hope for the best.

Well, yes, but that was when we had tanks to lend (we have only 2-3 old ones left). I believe that after our show tank building bee this week, we might have some for loan, but like I said, we will have sets at the meeting to give to members that will use them.
