Rainmaker69
I have a tube of Mastercraft silicone, window and door, and it states on the back "ideal for use in aquariums". Has anyone ever tried it?
Sam Chicklets
I haven't but it should be ok if it says that on it.
Gordon Wright
I know it's a done deal and sure it'll work great. When i went checking for GE 1200 series I found it's available in black, white or transluscent (not "clear" he stressed...) anyway, under $6.00 a tube from some "construction fastener" businesses. Sorry can't quote names for your area, but in Sask it seems readily available or a days shipping away.
Sam Chicklets
I have a small crack to repair near the top of a 90 gal tank .Is there any problem with G.E silicone II it's 100%silicone and has no fungicide it's supposed to be their best ? I just looked at a tube of G.E. II today and it says do not use on aquaruiums or food preparation surfaces. If it says it is not food grade or not for aquarium use, do not use it. On the label G.E. II says 100% silicone but when you read the ingredients it has a chemical additive as well.
