cidley69
It looks as if the propellor (impellor?) for these filters are replaceable, b/c they come out so easily. Does anyone know if you can buy just one of these parts anywhere in Calgary? Much thanks!
Vapor
Try Pisces. They have a large parts dept.
FishBrain
If its noisy you might also want to check the shaft that the impellor rides on. they do wear down
Sam Chicklets
I have an A/C 500 with a shaft that is worn to about 1/2 diameter. If I leavr the slime in the housing it seems to run a lot quieter. I too am looking for A/C parts in Edmonton.
Toirtis
In Calgary, either Riverfront or Pisces, although Petlands should have impellers and shafts.....in Edmonton, try PJs, Nature's Corner, or Big Als.
cidley69
i went to Riverfront last night and got one. a bit more expensive ($10.99 vs $6.99) than Pisces, but closer to where i live. thanks for the help finding one. i lost a 30 gal full of cichlids due to my power going out while i was on holiday, and no one to bump start my filter. i'm looking for new baby fish if anyone has any. thanks again! Sam Chicklets
in Edmonton, try PJs, Nature's Corner, or Big Als. I believe Natures Corner said something to the effect that they didn't carry A/C parts, as they were using another brand, however servicewas awesome.. I'm fast losing interest in waisting time and money at Big Al's as their fish seem to have a high mortality rate, and anytime I've tried to get assistance with finding parts I don't get any help from anyone. Not trying to slam B/A's just personal experience I've had there. But I will try PJ's
