If they were sitting out somewhere, or in a box, then they were probably infested there. It sounds like your shellies are exterminating just fine. If any more corpses show up, just take them out of the tank. If there's a shell or two that the fish won't touch, then it may have something rotting inside - maybe bake it, or just pitch it. That's what I'd do, anyway.
Fish_Frenzy
I would cut one in half and see if it is a larvae or some sort of root. Tammy
Shayesmommy
mostly i got the shells from a craft store. but the biggest one they always use i got from my brother in law. From the ocean and its been sitting on his shelf for probably a year or two. but i also soaked them and rinsed them out the best i could.. im just curious as to why they just showed up now and not a month ago. they have been living in shell since i first bought them i already have a cycled 15g for the golds. they will be moved tomorrow. but will still have multis in there. I will see if i can get the one gold who is always in there to vacate the shell. But there is also the shells that came from the pet store that the fish came in. could it be possible that it could be from there?
