Terrie Lee
There is a transparent jelly-like substance in a worm-like shape in my tank. It is located on the bottom of my java fern leaf. Is this some critter's eggs? It did not look like eggs. It is attached pretty firmly to the bottom of the leaf. The plant is a little tiny one that is free floating in my tank right now. Should I be worried? The tank contains: Cherry Shrimp Swordtail & platy fry Ramshorn snails (very small ones) Assorted other snails that I do not know what they are
Sam Chicklets
Snails will make a jelly nest when they spawn.
Fish_Frenzy
Sounds like snail eggs to me. Tammy
James (Western Canada)
Yup, snail eggs, ridding yourself of the eggs now will mean a lot less problems ridding yourself og the snails later James
Terrie Lee
I like tons of baby snails in my tank. I reach in and crush them up against the glass as a snack for the fish, they love it! I am not so sure why people are so upset about snail babies. I think they are cute and easy to get rid of.
