Was just googling the species and are they the same as the Laetacara dorsigera or Redbreast acara? Everything I've found has said 6 to 8 cm. http://aquaworld.netfirms.com/Cichlidae/La...a_dorsigera.htm HTH A few sites and books suggest as much as 8cm (3"), only one suggests 10cm(4"), and most suggest 4-6cm (1.5-2.5").....I suspect the actual size rests about middle, so likely 5cm-7cm (2"-2.75") is to be expected...not so big.
