TheGr8Blade
Amazing color! How big do they get? He/she looks huge! LMAO!
RD.
Males can get up to 8-9" when fully grown. Jonah - here's a pic of mine that I took last month. Impossible to capture the true color of these fish with my camera.
fatpuffer
How big is yours now? Mine is about 4-5 inches full length. Unfortunately though, he/she has a big chunk of his dorsal fin missing (last third of his dorsal) so it looks like he got a mohawk. He was in a puffer tank but the puff was going for the shrimp and EBJD got in the way. I thought he was a goner...huge chunk and some flesh was bitten off. Fortunately he/she survived and is doing well. Your EBJD is looking nice! You planning on keeping all of it? If not, give me a call and I would love to trade or buy it off you. RD.
Mine's approx 3-3.5", but by the looks of yours I feed quite a bit less than you do. lol I plan on growing him out until he's reached his full potential, then we'll see what happens. I'm fairly certain that the entire tank that we bought these from were all males, so I wouldn't advise keeping more than 1 per tank, unless you have a fairly decent sized tank for them. fatpuffer
That will go for another tank...if you decide to get rid of it. I might try getting a smaller normal female for this male. Females have "full gill plate spangles" right? Js
