jvision
So, I've put just about all of my SA cichlids in my 135 gal, and it's turned into a breeding tank! Geophagus iporangensis have now spawned twice in the last week (same male, different females I think) - the 1st brood was too hidden, so I couldn't see eggs or fry before they were eaten. But, this time they're out front and centre - it's day 3 and I can see the eggs developing nicely. The Black Angels I scored from the auction have gotten the idea, too, and just this evening laid eggs on the powerhead. I'll likely leave the angels to fend for their kids, but I'll be removing most of the Geo fry to raise artificially - there's just too much action going on in there. Have to replace batteries before I can get pics up....

Sam Chicklets
If I had gone I think we would have been in a bidding war for the black angels LOL
jvision
I only baught the angels b/c I got them so cheap - I already have 6 (1 Koi, 5 WC)... But, $10 for two gorgeous breeders, I couldn't really resist.

corrosionjerry
That didnt take long .. two weeks and voila. I would like to get a few angles in the future to keep company with the one that I have...Not sure how mine would react to the company... Maybe next auction or if the right deal comes around. jvision
I was planning on pulling the Geo fry when they first hatched... but, I didn't get a chance. I saw them developing nicely, but all eggs were gone yesterday morning. The good thing is that I believe there are at least 3 females who always seem ready to spawn, and my big male is always willing!! I don't think the angel eggs will last either. They were layed on a powerhead, which I unplugged and turned back on during the WC, yesteday. Almost all the eggs are now white. I've jostled things around in my fishroom, so I think I might move a couple pairs down there to see what we can do for getting some younuns.
