Wow, he turned out beautifully :drool:

How do you take pics to get the flecks to come out so nice. When I take pics of mine I can never capture his flecks as they look in real life.

My guy is pretty much just as speckled but he isn't as uniform of a blue. He has more black markings. But I think that is due to him being in a tank with a crazy dominant red empress, so he probably isn't showing his best colors.

You just have to wait until the light is bouncing off of them just right. The other male is darker, and has fewer spots so far, and when they are stressed they do seem to get much darker in overall coloration.

Just thought that I would give you an update on your fish.

Thanks, i love seeing how my fish have grown up.

I guess I haven't been patient enough to get a good shot of my guy. I can get some nice shots of the fish itself as my pheno is a ham and always in front of the camera but I just havent' been about to get his flecks to look their best.

Is your pic with flash or no flash?
