kriskadela
Hello to all. I wish I had found this forum sooner! I have 6 large koi (14 inches and up) that I need to sell (they are too big for me to overwinter). What would be a fair price for them and if I can't sell them before the pond freezes would there be any takers?

darkangel
I work with a gentlman that has a 1 acre 15 foot deep pond that he currently has 19 koi in it allready. I will not see him until Tues. But I will see if he is interested. Maybe you can post a price you would like to get for them.
Toirtis
Welcome to AA. :welcome: Please do make a proper advert for the koi in the classifieds section and post an asking price ($300 is probably fair for all 6 unless they are particularly nice) as per the forum rules. kriskadela
Thank you for the welcome. I am certainly not here just to sell the fish. I have had a couple of ponds (nothing big - in the 600-1000 gallon range) for just about 10 years now (third pond on the way next spring). I just don't have the space for a tank large enough to overwinter the koi and heating a fish pond in our climate is not really practical for ponds less than 5 feet deep. I have a friend that has a large 80'x120' pond but this year something happened and the water level dropped to just 3 feet so he is facing the prospect of losing his fish as well.
