Guest FLIP
Well not all of us are walking fish encyclopedias like you. :P
Qattarra
Not at all , not even close. I'm on here because there is so much to learn from everyone. Being evolved crustation eaters, they would not stop at snails. Your shrimp tank would offer a smörgåsbord of delicacies.
Guest FLIP
LOL I had the puffer fish in the tank so i threw in a bunch of snails for it and got rid of the puffer the same day so I feel like a moron.
NatureNut
I solved my problem by getting a dwarf puffer for one of my other tanks... then I use the shrimp tank as a snail farm for the puffer.
Guest FLIP
Yeah I guess I could use them for crayfish and loach food.
Vallisneria
I also have snails in my shrimp tank. I just squish them whenever I see them. The shrimp eat the squished snail bodies so it doesn't polute the tank. It doesn't cure the problem but it keeps the population down. corrosionjerry
The only way to get rid of the snails is to start a new tank... treat all your plants that you want to put into the new tank to kill any snail eggs .... and hope for the best
