So here is a Hi!

I have a couple of cherry shrimp and a small school of zebra danios in a 5 gallon tank, but I think I have been bitten by the bug. I'm dreaming of a bigger tank and doing research into the wee hours of the morning about everything fish hehe. Anyway, I have had my danios for almost 2 years it started with just using them to cycle the tank (a terrible practice I would later learn) for some triops but I liked the fish too much to give them away. I tried to fight the fish urge for the last year, but I seem to find myself in a fish store at least once a week, its such a relaxing hobby, although not as relaxing now that I have discovered water testing, still new at this but I'm getting better, learning lots from AA, and most importantly having loads of fun.

Thanks All!

You'll find lots of very knowledgeable and helpful people in this forum! I know I have!

Enjoy...and if I may offer a word of advice, what ever size tank you decide to move up to...go at least one or two sizes higher...you'll be glad you did lol.

:welcome: to AA:D

I would recommend looking at a 55. It is longer and higher. With smaller cichlids you'll get more room for "territories". The nicest ram setup I've seen has been in a heavily planted tank. This person had no troubles at all with his pair breeding. In that tank he was able to keep several other species of small fish with his rams. A 55 would also offer space for some small to midsized south american cichlids like green terrors ect. Good luck with your new habbit, ummmm I mean hobby. :D
