soliver
I read somewhere that if you have crabs. Then its a lot harder to keep coral. They keep disturbing it. Make sure you go through the steps of setting up a tank. Don't add it all in at once. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress. So you decided salt water instead of aro's? Or are you doing both? fatpuffer
Not all crabs will disturb corals. Hermit crabs are great scavengers and emerald crab are good algae eaters (valonia and hair algae in my experience). I think its the big crabs that tend to know down corals frags and such. rED O
For a beginner salt water keeper why not start with something more simple? If you would like read this artical from oscarfish.com, you might find it helpful. http://www.oscarfish.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=20889
Parachromis1
im not trying to bring you down, but shouldn't you worry about the fish you have right now. if the red mota is what I think it is, you don't have a tank close enough in size to keep it. and look at your goldfish, it needs more then a 10 gallon. soliver
You should worry about properly taking care/housing the fish you currently have before you add more to the list.
thegrandpoohbah
Not to rain on your parade but 6 fish in a 20G!?!? I'd re-think that if I were you or you will have a lot of water quality issues.
rayfong
Not to mention most cardinalfish don't do well in groups unless your tank is big enough (100 gallons +).
polleni-puffer
*huf* i was hoping to spend my money on my salt water tank(ya ,i decided not to get the aro anytime soon ,unless a 200 gallon cycled tank randomly poofs out of no wheres im mah fish room) but i suppose that i could buy a biiger tank for my mota and goldie.
