fishclubgirl
I have a double tail female from Black Mumba. Have tried to get her a "boy" but it has been a misadventure. Decided to put an old(over 2 years) DT HM male in with her. Usually I breed my bettas when they're a LOT younger!!. Anyhow he's quite taken with her and has a nice nest going. Will add in some viagra and put them together tonight. They're both yellow DTs so should be interesting if I get any fry out of them. Let you know what happens!! fishclubgirl
That's exciting! Let us know how it goes. They sound like they'd be gorgeous babies! Okay that attempt didn't work. I use a "speed dating" for bettas method. The next couple were more cooperative and so hopefully I'll have black copper HMs. Dad, don't eat the kids(eggs)!!! fishclubgirl
So far so good, I've got little guys. Mom and Dad are spawn siblings(that's accepted practice in fancy betta breeding) and are copper black HM dragons. Hopefully they'll have good looking little ones!! Dad's job is almost done and I'll pull him soon.

I'm having issues with the male MG CT he is not wanting to build a nest. i evn tried putting a nest from a different fish in there to see if he would get the right idea, but so far he has not got it. the PK fry seem to be doing alright though so that is good. fishclubgirl
Arrgh, I know the feeling. I have nice pair of purple SDs and he just doesn't get the hint. She bars up nicely and he watches football. Tried them twice already. Why did I have to fall for bettas?

Give Dad a day or two. Usually, if he's got this far there's no rush. I try to keep it quiet around the tank so he doesn't eat the kids. Yes, they're little black things swimming around. What kind are they? Congrats on the spawn. Mine are well and I'll start feeding some BBS later this week.

fishclubgirl
Yes, that's them. Not sure if the other eggs will hatch but they should hatch pretty soon if they're going to.

fishclubgirl
Arrgh, I know the feeling. I have nice pair of purple SDs and he just doesn't get the hint. She bars up nicely and he watches football. Tried them twice already. Why did I have to fall for bettas? So I put the pair of purple SD together again for the THIRD time!!! He finally got the hint and I've got eggs. Only got a couple of fry from the black copper dragon HM pair so I'll have to try them again. Again why do I breed bettas?
