fatpuffer
Tank is 46 gallon with one fig8 puffer. SG will be no more than 1.005. I am considering some bumblebee gobies as they go fairly well with the puff (according to many ppl.'s experiences from pufferforum). What other light brack fish are there? any ideas? tank is not that big so no tank busters. ThANKS. Js
BigA
What about a dragon goby? Cool and unusual looking, pretty hardy as well.
condor
you could breed some cardinal japonica shrimp and when they reproduce take the babies and stick them in the brackish till they grow out a bit.. then put them back into the freshwater tank
fatpuffer
BigaA: The tank is bowfront and i dont think will be big enough to house an full grown adult...i'll need to do more research. Condor: The tank has a puffer in it so no crustaceans. Keep the ideas coming! thanks! Jonah
jvision
You could go w. other gobies, like knight. Mollies are good - their fry will keep your puff happy . Glassfish can be a neat addition - when males are ready to breed, I've seen pics where they go a nice orange color. CORVETTE
I'm running one with a green spotted puffer, red and silver scats, argentus and seabe mono, and a clombian shark (i think thats what the little grey catfish is)?
fatpuffer
jvision: saw some glass fish...interesting little fish. Do you know what species the ones petsmart sells? The sign say c. wolfii which gets bigger than c. ranga. Corvette: nice fishies but gets too big for my tiny 46 gallon. They also require higher brackish...I am only going up to 1.005 sg So far I think I will be going with: 1 x Figure 8 puffer 5 x glass fish 1-2 x orange chromide 2-3 bumblebee gobies (Big maybe...as the chromide may pick on them) Keep the ideas coming. gobies et al
Hi... I would increase the number of Bumblebees 6+ Have you a source for the Orange Chromide? I have only come across once (in Saskatoon) in the last couple of years. Celebese Rainbowfish are a lovely addition to the brackish tank. Vallisneria
I used to keep some celebese rainbowfish when I had a brackish tank. They were in with my anableps and some mollies.
