randy
I would not change it if it stays around there. Once you start playing around with ph it will raise, drop and you will forever be trying to adjust it. The fish will acclimatize to your ph. JORG
All your fish will be happy at 7.

Moutain Dew
What fish besides discus do you really need to lower pH, where the health is severely affected? I doubt most LFS adjust Ph levels in there tanks...So most common aquarium fish we buy must be fine with pH of Edmonton tap water. I think there are some non chemical ways to raise pH like Coral and shells.? and to lower pH like Peat in filter? is this not accurate..? EowynJane
I would return it also, I have Labs and Acei (both from Lake Malawi) and they're doing great in Edmonton water. My ph is the same as yours.
